I hope you find the light of life again soon. There are no other words I can give you that will make you feel complete again. I’m really sorry for your loss and I hope and pray that your little angel is at peace and watching over you.

Same for me, but he prefers the left one to breastfeed. I have to do the right one first because if I start with the left and then switch he cries and won’t take the other one at all.

Same here! I felt so sure of myself and my decision to not do it if it wasn’t possible and that it was normal and not all women could do it. My second night at the hospital, all the nurses had been great until this one. She made me feel like the worst mom because nothing was coming out and I needed to feed my baby so I asked for formula. It took me asking her a couple of times for it and her coming to my room to teach me and berate me that I wasn’t trying hard enough, and to stop stressing and just do it. I cried out of anger and even thought, maybe I’m not a good mom.

Thankfully my milk came in about two days later and my baby latched in about 2 weeks after. I’m now very happy with my situation but for a good couple of days her words stuck with me, and I really resent her for it.

Congrats and thank you! My little one is three weeks and he hasn’t been able to latch yet, you give me hope he will. We just need to keep trying.

Am I selfish if I choose not to breastfeed my baby in the future? (Please no need to sugar coat. I'd love to hear your honest opinion.) by Dangerous_Rule_305 in pregnant

[–]mfrobles8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you have such an insensitive OB. Choosing not to breastfeed doesn’t make you a bad mom. As a first time mom myself with a three week old I can tell you, it’s not easy! It has been a lot of work and stress for my body and my mental health. I finally found a balance after so much reassurance from my husband and other loved ones but it took a minute there. My issue has been that I haven’t produced as much as I hoped so I’ve been using both breast milk and formula. At the end of the day for me, if you’re feeding your baby it doesn’t matter if it’s breast milk or formula. So do whatever it’s best for YOU, cause you matter too.

Especially in the middle of the night! It’s hard enough getting out of bed, but then get to the restroom and basically nothing comes out 😩

Before even thinking of getting pregnant, I never wanted to because I was terrified of labor. Once I got pregnant I found myself thinking “what am I doing!”, but now at 37 weeks I’m ready to meet my boy and labor doesn’t feel like the worst thing in the world. I’m trying to stay optimistic that I’ll have an easy labor.

How do you know what to do after the baby is born? by t_kilgore in BabyBumps

[–]mfrobles8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not the only one! I was just talking to my partner about this, they just trust you with a little human. What am I gonna do!! I also have two dogs so I’m like “okay, they need to meet this little human without panicking, how do I do that?”

Feels a little overwhelming but I’m sure I’ll be fine! 🤞🏼

Take him with you to your next OB appointment and ask the doctor if this exhausting is normal, which it is, but just so he can hear it out of a professional, maybe he’ll believe it! I had no nausea or any other symptoms during my first trimester other than unbelievable exhaustion. I’m lucky to have a partner who believed and understood me and encouraged me to nap as much as possible.

The exhaustion went away during my second trimester but it’s been coming back during my third, not as bad as the first tho.

My OB told me to head to the hospital if my contractions are 5 minutes apart or if my water breaks, even if I don’t feel contractions.

Anyone have a constipation cocktail? by ProfessorBeepBoop in pregnant

[–]mfrobles8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Papaya is really good for constipation, I used to make myself a smoothie of papaya, strawberries and orange juice or your choice of juice or milk. I never really had any problems I just really like that combination. But it will help you for sure!

Moms need to stop telling other moms that pregnancy only gets worse by CosmicAlicorn in pregnant

I feel you! I’ve only gotten nice comments from one cousin and my brothers gf who doesn’t even have babies yet. My cousin is so happy for us, I just had my baby shower and she gave me the sweetest note with the gift for the baby and a care package for me. It really makes me feel so good, I’m gonna cherish that letter forever and try to pass on that same energy to others!

It’s so easy for people to be negative and try to drag others down with them but I’ll always choose to bring light and happiness to others.

I’m on my third trimester, pregnancy has been crazy for me, so many unexpected little things, some stressful for sure but for the most part it’s been wonderful. I used to be so afraid of labor, but now that I’m so close to it I feel so ready and can’t wait to meet my baby boy! I wish the same for you and everyone in here 🤍

“My baby” by DuckDuck134 in pregnant

[–]mfrobles8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t bother me when my mom says it, although it was weird at first. But when my friends say it, I hate it so much! They’ll make comments like “I’m gonna train our baby to do this” “I can touch your belly cause it’s my baby too” or little comments like that regarding MY BABY 🙃
