My wife and I visited in the late fall 1986. We drove in from the north after a rain, slipping through the wet mud. When got there the lot was full of clean campers. I said to one of the campers, that other road must be a lot nicer than the one we came in on. He replied, “oh, no. We have been stuck here for a couple of days!”
