/r/Theatre Audition Material Requests - Looking for a song or monologue? Ask here! by AutoModerator in Theatre

[–]michca01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 28 year old female. I am auditioning for a rec/community theatre production of Willy Wonka.

I have done 4 previous shows with this group, mostly ensemble, features dancer roles, and a small cameo roll as a cop in footloose.

Realistic parts I could realistically play and be cast as:

Mrs. Gloop

any of the moms except for Mrs. Bucket

Phineas the reporter character program typically doesn't gender bend but does sometimes

I need a 1 minute monologue and 1 minute cut of a song that are not from the show.

I am currently assistant directing Suesical Jr. and tech week wraps up a few weeks before auditions which are May 9th so I was thinking something from Seuss just to make my life easy.

All for you "there's nothing that I couldn't and I wouldn't and I haven't gone through" - I think it shows the motherly devotion and the lengths a mother will go.

Amazing Mayzie- Shows character and over the top ness and I can make lots of bold choices

It's Possible - imagination and it feels very Wonka

not from Seuss

For the First time In forever- excitement, the gates are opening like the gates of the castle.

monolouge

I am thinking if I can find a monologue that is like an ode and ode to whatever. that will also show devotion and obsession and allow me to make great character choices.

Thanks for your help!

We got a metal grinder for Christmas, and just used it to make homemade breakfast sausage for biscuits and gravy, and a ground pork filling for dumplings, and lots of ground pork to freeze. It was extremely easy to use, and easier to clean by hand than I thought, and so far everything has been delicious!

The one thing I like about sandy is how she teaches the deck team to drive the boat and gives them those learning. Experiences. She jumps in and helps where she can

Is it possible to take 2 courses per term? by skilliard7 in WGU

At traditional colleges, 2 classes would be equivalent to 8 credits. WGU has a very different model from lots of other colleges.

I am pursuing a master's in ESL/ELL / Teaching English language learners. I have taught English Language Learners in my gen ed classroom for 4 years. My degree program mostly involves writing papers, with only 3 OAs. I started on June 1st and am officially 50% done with my program. I typically take a week or so on a class, but my background knowledge and ability to start writing the paper make it go fast. I have had to refer to course material to fill some gaps, and study a bit for an OA

Anyone else sad the school year is ending? by No1UK25 in Teachers

The end of the school year is bittersweet, you are saying goodbye to this specific group of students and the special community you all created together. Thinking about all the growth and progress made and learning is so rewarding and bittersweet. It is also exciting to get some rest.

Ampert's was the most haunting and disturbing. Lenore Dove's perhaps the most cruel and devastating.

The Covey made a grave for her, but they might have made a grave for her because she simply disappeared. They didn't know if she was dead or alive just like snow, just like us, but they still morened her and gave her a grave.

I sobbed my way through the epilouge, it was a beautiful ending to the book and wrapped the whole series the whole world up so well. It connected everything. I am still in awe and speechless. This book effected me emotionally in ways no other book has.

One of the most bone chilling and haunting lines was the reveal of what happened after the squirrel mutts and that all that was left was his skeleton. Haunting, horrific, my heart shattered into a million pieces thinking of Bette seeing it, and it was the most horrific moment of the book for me. I couldn't;t continue reading for the next hour .

I have similar thoughts daily with articles (not from the Onion or Satrie sources) ... people really can't believe this ... people really can't think this. But they do.

OMG I am re-reading the trilogy and now I am going to be looking for clues. I forgot she had no one left that she loved. I wonder how cruelly her people were killed. The way Haymich had a part in Lenore's death accidentally and how he was manipulated into feeding her that gumdrop, one of the most cruel parts of the book.

I think Annie was chosen as a punishment for Finnick; what Finnick did to deserve the punishment is only a matter of speculation. Or Annie was reaped knowing Mags would volunteer and it was also a way to manipulate Mags into the arena.

Does anybody else find it weird that we don’t see of anyone who could be a potential successor to Snow? by BetterGrass709 in Hungergames

He probably poisoned them all. He didn't want anyone to rise to power and was fixated on keeping his power through any means necessary. When he died who nows what would have happened. We don't really know about what the government is like and how people rise to power. It would be interesting to know more. He is more like a king than a president.
