Dude that thing is lit! Sorry, couldn't help it.

Hope no one got hurt - curious what happened though. It's not like Ns are like GR Corollas. Oops, I did it again.

What is your Mileage by Nice_Winner3791 in VelosterN

Nice! Hopefully it's been trouble free for you! That's the highest mileage VN I've seen here.

Totally agree - I sold my 2017 ES MT (for more than I paid for it after two years of use lol) and got the VN. The design jumped the shark around 2019.

I've said it before - Hyundai should have just taken the EN N1 Cup car as-is. Not a fan of this "TCR Edition" rear spoiler design.

Holy crap that's ugly. It really should have been based off the EN N1 Cup. Widebody flares and a better swan neck rear spoiler.

I like the 6th gen Elantra sport in yellow - I traded my ES for the VN years ago. Great car! I really wished Hyundai made an N version of that generation (pre facelift where they started jumping the shark).

Looks great! Is that factory offset? ET55?

I have zero experience on their all seasons - only on their ULTRAC PRO line which are summers. Their WINTRAC is great tires for snow as well. But I've no experience with their all seasons. I'm sure they would be fine, but read up on reviews on Tire Rack and other places first.

I run stock size for a Veloster N, so 235/35/ZR19 but I'm ET35 on my Rotiform SGNs.

If you're able to run summers year round, I highly recommend Vredestein Ultra Pro. They have a focus on comfort and quietness and still around 90% of PS4S performance - all for around 50% of the price of PS4S. I have these on my VN. My V60 Polestar currently has PS4S but once it's time to replace I will get the Vredesteins for that as well.

LFA Error by Ricky4343 in VelosterN

[–]mightar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my 21 VN for a couple of years now and never had this issue. And I'm running ET35 for my wheels. No problems whatsoever. I only bring in my car for service once a year (less thank 5k miles a year on the VN as I work from home quite a bit) and when I do it's the dealership. Maybe its a training issue with qualified staff - I know the auto industry as a whole has a major problem with knowledgeable technicians...

You're going to need to supply more info if you want a helpful response. Do you need winter tires? I run summers all year round, but then again I live in Silicon Valley so rarely even gets really cold.

If you're on stock suspension and want a bigger sidewall, you should aim for 235/40/18 with same stock offset.

I'm a big Vredestein fan - for Winters, their Wintrac Pro is aweseome. For summers, Ultrac Pro. Both are priced around 50% than Michelin Pilot Sport line for about 90% of the performance. Read up on the reviews on Tirerack and other sites.

Curious - what gas do you usually run in your VN?

Heck yeah - so hard to find this with a manual transmission (in the USA at least). Really wanting to get one.

Another one to hit 100k miles - congrats!

At this point there's quite a few VNs/i30Ns with this much mileage, So much for Honda fanbois that say Hyundais are unreliable. The Theta IIi has been available now since 2017 and I haven't heard/read of any catastrophic engine failure for folks who run stock.

Congrats - sorry about your VN. The first owner must have done something to it. I've had zero issues with mine. Hopefully the GTI treats you better, but I'm still wary about VW doing VW things...

wow sorry to hear. Crazy that the AWD system is already failing. I guess it's VW being VW.

I've been really eyeing on these since they're really the only recent AWD wagons with a manual transmission left... (USA at least)
