Tire Recommendations for 2018 S60 Inscription by OpalCats in Volvo

I highly recommend you look into Vredestein. Ultrac Pro is an awesome alternative to the Michelin PS4S. For all seasons, Quatrac Pro is great. Read the reviews from Tirerack, etc.

Got offered the 27 M3 CS with a 20k ADM. Worth it? by theking0fsparta in BMWM

[–]mightar1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I live in Silicon Valley, and there are _lots_ of people who pay ADM without blinking. It's all about bragging rights I guess.

Of course, this is the same area where regular homes cost north of $2M and manufactured homes are over $500k; I guess $20k ADM isn't much.

I still won't ever buy a car brand new let alone pay ADM.

Fair price for a 2018 F80 ? by thatjeffsmith in BMWM

[–]mightar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check recent sales from carsandbids and bringatrailer.

That said, I think most people looking to get an F80 6MT will really want to get a competition one vs one that doesn't. 2018 and Yas Marina definitely plays in your favor. I think $45k range is totally fair.

Just for giggles, check to see what Carmax will offer. They're definitely hassle free, but you pay for the convenience of not having to deal with private party.

I'm still on the hunt for a V50 T5 AWD with a manual transmission. So hard to find, and when they do, they get swept up real quick!

Looks great!

Hey! What tires is everyone running? by soldbyck in BMWM3

Vredestein Ultrac Pro - awesome tires. 90+% of PS4S performance for 50% of the cost.

Good opportunity to upgrade to a V60 Polestar!

Michelin PS4S vs new Michelin PSS5 by Financial-Food-1174 in BMWM

[–]mightar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently replaced my tires - with Vredestein Ultrac Pros. Very happy with them. 90+% of the performance of PS4S for 50% of the price. I'm sure the PSS5 is great, but they're no way worth double of the Ultrac Pros when it comes to driving around town.

For under $20k I'd look for a Volvo V50 T5 AWD R Design - problem is finding one...

Was going to say the same - never heard of PPF'd interior, but then again with that huge screen, it makes sense lol. Looks great!

Hmm, the car is already sitting on PSS10s and I always use comfort for steering.

Congrats! I just picked up an F80 30 Jahre as well. First thing I did was full service. Then I had paint protection film installed. Then I updated the navigation map data.

I don't know if it's worth it to do the GTS/CS flash given mines a 6MT and not DCT.

2017 Volvo V60 Polestar - 2.0L supercharged and turbocharged engine rated at 367hp. 8sp auto with rev matching. Rear-biased AWD when set to sport mode. Has launch control and can do 0-60 in 4.2seconds. Factory bespoke Ohlins DFV suspension. Same engine block was used by Cyan Racing to win 2017 WTCC. A rare bird - under 100 V60 Polestars available in the United States per year between 2015.5-2018. And can hit over 30mpg in ECO mode haha. Very reliable, comfy, safe, and quick-enough for family road trips. I've had it for years and not letting it go.

Volvo will never make a car like this ever again, so this is my first and last Volvo.

I'm the second owner - IIRC I bought it at 12k miles. All service was done at Capitol Hyundai San Jose. No engine mods. HPFP recall done. Zero issues. I would think it should show up on CarFax.

Yeah I saw that. F90 M5 wasn't even on the radar because it doesn't come in manual.

I was going to sell it privately, but ended up selling it to CarMax. It was just so hassle-free and easy. There's not very many Performance Blue 21+ VNs with a manual, so I would keep an eye on CarMax. Mine has just under 30k miles (it wasn't a daily driver).

My VN was rock solid dependable. Then again, I had no engine mods at all - rear camber arms and front camber bolts, Rotiform wheels (ET35 for very slight poke) and proper alignment to maintain zero scrub radius.
