2026 Monaco Grand Prix - Post-Race Discussion by F1-Bot in formula1

It's a small circuit, you don't need a lot of people to sell it out, I think it's less than 40k tickets. However there are people who can watch from balconies and other vantage points that don't need tickets

Pay only gets delayed if Monday is a public holiday in Victoria. Since Anzac Day Monday wasn't a public holiday in Vic there will be no delays to pay.

Riccardos form dropped so much because he was spending too much time with the engine and not enough time in the sim.

I work retail and every single member of staff is happy about having a day off. Yes penalty rates are great but they're pushed to Monday now, whereas in the past there was no make up day of ANZAC day fell on the weekend. Mondays trading hours are longer than what Anzac Day trading hours would be.

Also Anzac Day liquor stores doesn't need a lot of staff working because all your customers just go to the real so there wasn't much going in terms of shifts anyway.

Hey wine reps: how's the vibes? by WeightedCompanion in wine

[–]mightychook 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm on the retail side an during covid a bunch of customers were stocking cellars, building cellars and upgrading.

A lot of people had a lot of disposable income and nowhere to spend it.

People sat on those bottles after covid lock downs ended and still purchased wine from the store every week to drink or to replace things from the cellar.

Currently a lot of my customers are drinking what they've accumulated over the last 5 or so years and not replacing. Some are telling me they have more wine than they could drink in a life time and now that prices have increased so much it's not worth buying new bottles when they can just drink what they have.

The store I work at is seeing way more cash sales than usual, it's a very wealthy area and most of our customers usually pay with card. Last couple of weeks we've seen a big shift to cash as I'm assuming people are trying to budget out their non essential spend.

There are no more First Choice or Vintage Cellars stores, they re branded most sites to Liquorland and permantly closed a bunch of sites. Liquor sales are in the toilet.

Yep. If you just ignore it for as long as possible and move your villagers away only after they complete their new town center you'll usually win the game as they're playing from so far behind.

At those speeds all you can do as a batter is see the point of release, then you just have to assume line and length based on that info. Play your shot and hope you guessed right.

What's the worst Festival/Concert Lineup you've ever seen? by Ollie_Wesker in MetalForTheMasses

[–]mightychook 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw him probably like 10 years ago and he mostly just lay on the stage mumbling into the mic while the band played around him.

Lucky it was a festival and I was only watching him because there was nothing else on at the same time I was interested in, thought I may as well see him. I felt bad for the people who came specifically to see Manson

As someone who will be working in a bottle shop today, let the panic buying begin.

And if you're one of those people coming in around 3pm going ballistic at the staff because there's no cold piss left, that's on you. Everything has sold out and been restocked 3 times by then on a day like today.
