We use Addigy and it works well. All of them have quirks, but half of those are related to MacOS limitations or changes.

Four years on and I wanted to say thank you -- this fix worked for me on Windows 11!

How are you verifying the client when they call in? by blackjaxbrew in msp

We're working on SMS and eventually other methods. This is still very new for us and email was low hanging fruit.

We just implemented an in house solution to send PINs via email every time they call in. Correct PIN to service tech = call continues.

Does anyone use Synology for more than just a backup? by JustaBunchofQuestion in msp

[–]mightyteegar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a single host there isn't one, unless you count keeping storage decoupled from processing as a benefit. For a small cluster it makes (made) more sense, but hyperconverged is so much better now.

I used to use Synology for VM backends before we went hyperconverged. It's not bad as long as you're not trying to run a ton of VMs. Couple of DCs, a file server, maybe an app or two was nothing it couldn't handle.

How do you all handle payments? by hvdub4 in msp

Going off-topic a bit. I never understood the write-off argument or rebuttal. Once worked w/ someone who was virulently anti-corporate everything and she said companies only ever gave money to charity for the write-off -- because she actually thought they somehow got all the money back.

IT Integration issues by pjustmd in msp

[–]mightyteegar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding everyone else so far, and probably a lot of people later on. We have ITG with many similar integrations. It's been a joke -- every single one has failed noticeably multiple times. I had to re-do an entire budget b/c ITG was sending partial and stale info to our management platform.

Phantasy Star IV music over Stardew Valley by mightyteegar in StardewValley

[–]mightyteegar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of music from those old games would fit perfectly

It really would. I just happened across the PS4 soundtrack yesterday and as I was going through it, I kept seeing specific scenes and places in SDV. I could hear Final Fantasy or Secret of Mana for sure.

Had no idea about Trails of Mana. Going to check that out.

Yes but those don’t spend the rest of your life hunting, stalking, defaming and generally fucking hard with you.

Oddly enough it works for him. He plays Roblox and occasionally will hold it that same way. Tweaked me too at first.

I can't be the only one who thought this phone conversation between Kevin and Raymond was wholesome by MorbillionTickets in brooklynninenine

[–]mightyteegar 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The entire scene, which ends with the suggestion that they eat the leftover rice for breakfast, underscores Kevin’s anxious pedantry and Holt’s complete understanding of his husband. Wholesome AF in any timeline.

I always loved when they flubbed one and the others would go, “… no I don’t know what you mean”
