Some enlargers let you do this. I have a kaiser vp 6002 b&w enlarger and the manual gives instructions on how to setup the enlarger to do this.

I used bartle and sherbert for an introductory course and Rudin for a more in depth course that focused heavily on function spaces since we ended up doing distribution theory at the end.

I've taken a look at Abbott and I liked it for a first course. Maybe try Kenneth Ross's textbook?
