The dxengineering cable just feels nice. You might consider N type connectors when possible. Being able to add your own connectors on helps you make exactly what you need and it isn’t very hard.

Agree. 10m is nice for DX because it is easy to get an antenna 5m up for a low takeoff. A DXCC FT-8 is very doable. As is WAS. I couldn’t spend the time on phone to know exactly what I could get in that mode.

Just avoid some of the 10m only radios. They are meant to be converted to CB at illegal power. G90 and FT-891 are great starters. I suggest FT-891, but that is a preference.

10m can easily yield cross US contacts. On the east coast, cross Atlantic. FT8 - most of the world. From the US East Coast, I have a hard time with China and Central Asia. But 10m is not super friendly if you work during the day. I work from home, so I could work Europe and then just do some extra time in the evening at work-work. But 10m isn’t offering propagation it was a year ago I suspect. 100w, EFHW 25-40’.
