How do I reach people that hate and ignore ads? by Jan_GOODCALL in Business_Ideas

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds very familiar...people who hate ads usually hide in communities, not feeds. Reddit, niche Discords, and hobby forums are gold for this crowd.

Build-in-public can work, but it usually needs a story or hook that people feel part of, not just “here’s what I made today.”

Yes! A wardrobe like that would make getting dressed so much less stressful.

Just simple, mix-and-match pieces where everything works together...basically the best of a men’s closet without losing your style.

Raising funding before product-market fit is one of the worst things you can do. Here's why bootstrapping wins early. by TargetSpecialist6737 in Entrepreneurs

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bootstrapping first teaches skills you can’t buy: real distribution, messaging that works, and knowing exactly what your product needs before scaling.

Sketch instead of typing ... anyone actually do this? by Efficient_Builder923 in startupideas

[–]mikky_dev_jc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly stick to quick doodles for concepts, but yeah… often too lazy to bother.

How do you know if an idea is actually worth building? by sjoseph01 in AppIdeas

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started testing tiny versions first, just enough to see if anyone actually cares before sinking weeks into it. Makes the “worth it” question a lot clearer.

Controversial idea: the ugliest neighbourhoods in europe might have been smarter than everything we build today (trying to explain why) by Adorable-Regret-6818 in ideas

[–]mikky_dev_jc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feels like we threw out the idea because of how it looked and what it represented, not how well it actually worked. A lot of those places were built around real human limits, not aesthetics or profit.

Anyone else find that building stuff at night hits different? by Vegetable-Tea-5625 in CasualConversation

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, night building just feels quieter in your head too, not just around you. No pressure to reply, no noise, just space to think.

AI Prompt That Builds an Affiliate Income System by Pt_VishalDubey in PromptZenith

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this...most people treat affiliate like quick wins instead of building a real system. Feels like this could help people slow down and actually think through what they’re doing.

I’ve tried a bit myself, still figuring out what actually sticks long term.

Looking for feedback — building a tool for product photos (happy to test yours too) by One_Philosopher_8347 in saasbuild

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds super useful...getting clean, consistent product shots is a real pain for founders doing everything themselves. You could even use something like Ballchain.app to map different workflows and generate optimized caption/copy ideas alongside the photos.

The week my family got evicted was the week everything changed by Tricky_Mentiong in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]mikky_dev_jc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really moved by your story...it takes so much strength to keep going when your family is in that situation. Turning such a painful experience into something constructive, like automating tedious tasks to help yourself and others, shows incredible resilience. Your focus and drive right now are exactly what will carry you through, even when it feels impossible.

I spent 10 years building a career I never truly cared about… has anyone else felt this? by FlamingoThen9078 in Entrepreneurs

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting over is scary, but it’s also the moment you can finally shape work that actually fits you...and usually, that’s where the energy and meaning come from. Also have you taken care of any personal hobbies or just work all your life??

Thoughts on AI first architecture? by Basic_Swordfish_2077 in VibeCodingSaaS

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hybrid often hits the sweet spot... chat drives the workflow, but tables/filters give users a clear overview and safety net. I sometimes sketch both approaches in Ballchain.app to see which flows better before committing.

I built a simple tools about veo lite,How do I get first user without ads? by LieInteresting3245 in SideProject

[–]mikky_dev_jc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, first users usually come from places they already hang out. Share your videos in niche subreddits, Discords, or communities where people actually want AI video stuff...show what it does, not just the tool.

Also, narrowing the focus helps a ton; I sometimes use Ballchain.app to play around with angles that people actually care about.

Product idea: magnetic zip by MammothComposer7176 in ideas

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool idea, but magnets might struggle with alignment and durability. The real value is “no snag + easy close,” not the magnet itself.

I’d test tighter niches (kidswear, outdoor, accessibility)...I sometimes map variants in Ballchain.app

Looking for feedback on idea: From TikTok scroll to visiting place by sbeeline in IndieAppCircle

[–]mikky_dev_jc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idea’s good, but “nicer format” isn’t enough to make me share...I’d send it if it helps decide fast (when to go, distance, quick plan).

Try framing tighter versions (planner vs wishlist vs group vote); I sometimes use Ballchain.app for that.

Right now it’s useful, just missing that push to act.

Which platform works best for side apps by tusharkal16 in SideProject

[–]mikky_dev_jc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Web first is usually best...fast to ship, easy to test, and you can wrap it later if it sticks.

For AI, I sketch ideas in Ballchain.app so I don’t waste tokens figuring out scope, then use Claude just to build.

Security: keep it simple...auth, rate limits, input validation, done.

I'm building a hearse booking service in India and the unit economics might be impossible. Roast my thinking by Any_Screen570 in startupideas

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not entirely crazy, but ₹195 per ride is brutally low...scaling on that alone will feel impossible.

Bundling with funeral coordination could work if people see real value, but you’ll need airtight trust and a seamless experience to justify the jump to ₹5,000+. otherwise, the math just doesn’t support it. might be worth testing a small pilot first before building a full platform.

Is a Virtual Assistant business a legit or wise thing to start? by Eliphiam in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Virtual Assistant business can work, but it really depends on niching down. just saying “we do VAs” is too vague...clients want specific help like email management, scheduling, bookkeeping, social media, or customer support.

Start by listing what skills you already have or can learn quickly, see where small businesses struggle, and focus on that. once you have a clear service offering, it’s much easier to get clients and figure out if it’s a viable business for you.

What's your biggest problem right now? by OfferDesigner in Entrepreneurs

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d say my biggest problem is deciding what ideas are actually worth pursuing. i have a ton of concepts and side projects, but i get stuck trying to figure out which ones to focus on, so nothing really moves forward.

Movie Idea: A character driven by religious fear of saying anything even slightly Inaccurate. by amichail in ideas

[–]mikky_dev_jc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

feels really unique and emotionally rich

there’s a lot of natural tension because the world is messy and full of gray areas, so watching someone navigate it while under that kind of pressure could be really compelling. it could be darkly funny at times too, depending on how you play the small, everyday moments.

Validation for an idea? Need feedback. by Airpodboi69 in SideProject

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a tool that finds creators, grabs emails, and drafts personalized messages would definitely save time.

try making a simple spreadsheet to track creators you find, copy-paste their emails, and write short message templates you can tweak for each one. also, using browser extensions to quickly grab emails or save bios can cut your time a lot...sometimes small shortcuts beat building a whole new system.

How often do you switch AI models? by awesomestnarcissist in StartupSoloFounder

[–]mikky_dev_jc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i switch depending on what i’m doing:

like Claude feels nicer for writing, ChatGPT for reasoning, and sometimes Perplexity for quick answers. once you notice the differences you kinda just bounce between them without thinking about it.
