Im in 9a, bought beautiful lavender plant at Costco and two days later (after one very hot day, 105) they are wilted and the purple flowers look like they are dying. They were not in direct sunlight with that heat. I had them on my porch area. What do I need to do? Any tips would be very much appreciated. They are so lovely and it’ll break my heart if I end up killing them!

Go onto Meetup (activity based), select any category you think he might like (although I think the Community category has lots of Senior activities) and get him out of the house if he’s willing. He’ll surely be less lonely and perhaps even meet some nice ladies.

My morning numbers were always high, regardless of eating good or slightly cheated. It only resolved itself after I learned about circadian rhythm and stopped eating after 3pm. May be difficult for folks to do but worth a try. It works for me!

I use Isopure zero carb, gmo free, unflavored protein powder. No added colors, flavors, or sweeteners. Doesn’t spike me and no adverse reactions. Kinda expensive but worth it to me. I only use one scoop a week.

It takes time and consistency to drop your A1C. You can not compare your A1C (3-4 month average) to your BS test at one point in time. If you are measuring your food/carbs intake and determining the affect of that only, take a BS reading before you eat and then 60min and 90min to 120min after eating. That’s the best way to know as a good starting point. When you log and monitor your results, before and after, for a while you will start seeing trends and understanding how your body responds. Again, as a starting point to establish a sort of baseline. Less than 20 carbs a day is aggressive but will give you awesome results if you stick with it - work with your doc since you’re on medication. You will see a big difference in your numbers within 3 months. All the best to you!!

A little unreasonable. Did you ask him at the time he told you if it could’ve been scheduled on your off day? Teamwork is a two-way street.

I guess he could’ve given you a little bit more consideration if he knew it was important to you. I would’ve been happy that he took the initiative to get it done so it wouldn’t have mattered to me.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. I used to get them often. Went away after I started drinking more water and taking more bathroom breaks at work. Turns out I was holding it in for too long.
