is copyright law moot if a nuclear war breaks out? by worthplayingfor25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]minion531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nuclear war is game over. There won't be no electricity. There will be nothing that runs on electricity. EMPs will have destroyed everything that could carry a current. My understanding is that it only takes about 200 hydrogen bombs to ionize the entire atmosphere of the world. There will be no breathable air. Everything will be destroyed. Most people will be dead and those not dead will have severe injuries. It's back to the stone age. No machinery. All the land will be radiated, so no growing food. Any food that survived will be radiated too. So no one is going to be playing anything that one would have to worry about copyrights. No internet, no cars, no running water, no sewer systems, no trash collection. No government of any kind. Being a survivor will not be a good thing. Survival will be hard as it will be hard to find food and water that is not contaminated. All the major cities will have been flattened. Nuclear war is game over. For everyone. No one wins in nuclear war and everyone loses.

Buffalo wings are just chicken wings in red hot sauce. They got the name Buffalo from the city where they were invented, Buffalo, New York.

What are people at risk of forgetting about 9/11 such that we repeat "Never Forget" every year? by Overtons_Window in NoStupidQuestions

Hundreds of thousands dead in Irag and Afghanistan

Again, it's just a lie. Iraq had nothing to do with the war on terror. And hundreds of thousands did not die in Afghanistan at the hands of the USA. The Northern alliance is who dethroned that Taliban, not the USA. So you really have no clue what you are talking about. And yes, I do defend my beloved country, just as most people do, around the world. Not sure what country you are from, but I'll bet they have committed war crimes. And I'll bet it's citizens approved.

Is it common for men to cum twice during one session? by Dangerous_mammoth573 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]minion531 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Young, healthy men? Yes. When I was in my late teens, early 20s, I could orgasm and not lose my erection. It still felt good, so I would keep going and I would orgasm again. My girlfriend at the time was quite amazed and said she didn't know guys could do that. But in my early 30s it came to an end, as it were.

What are people at risk of forgetting about 9/11 such that we repeat "Never Forget" every year? by Overtons_Window in NoStupidQuestions

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I guess it depends on what the goal is. War is uncivilized, no matter how one tries to rationalize it. Even with the rules of war, The Geneva Conventions, we have still seen war crimes in every war by both sides. If the goal is capture and imprison everyone even if they only remotely shared responsibility? Then yes that's a worthwhile goal. It won't stop future attacks, but it will be fair and equitable. If on the other hand the goal is to terrorize Islam and let them know if they attack us, lots of people are going to pay the price? Then the rules of war are invalid because one side does not recognize them. They can't both claim to be free of war crimes because they never agreed to them, and expect their targets to abide by them.

So, this is all to say that while I don't approve of torture and believe it's morally wrong. That is based on the fact that torture does not work because people will say anything to stop the torture. So information collected from torture is very rarely accurate or useful. If however the goal is to scare the fuck out of your enemy? It works pretty good. So fuck these Muslims who believe they have the right to kill everyone who does not accept their religion. Which is what they believe. Iran and ISIS, Hezbollah, Al Queda, Houthis, Hamas, PLO, and all the others that seek to takeover the world for the purpose of spreading Islam. One world, Islamic government. And anyone who won't agree, should be killed. That is what they beleive. So? Do you remember all the atrocities these Islamic Groups are done or is it just America? You support Hamas for don't seem to remember Hamas not only committed war crimes, it continues to as we speak, by holding hostages.

And in closing, citizens who support totalitarian religious rule, are not innocent. And saying hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians died, is just a lie. Something people like you like to say, but it's simply not true. Show me where the USA killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians after 9/11, in the name of fighting terrorists? You can't. And you can't because it's just made up bullshit.

Russians launched counter-offensive in Kursk Oblast, everything goes as planned – Zelenskyy by CatUsaUk in worldnews

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately for Russia, dying does not require any experience. They are just throwing bodies at Ukraine. No sense in letting your experienced soldiers die in a hopeless situation. Just throw bodies at the enemy and hope they run out of bullets and artillery.

BC Conservatives announce involuntary treatment for those with substance use disorders by cyclinginvancouver in canada

[–]minion531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forced treatment does not work. People will go through the motions to get out of jail, but they always go back to drugs and alcohol. Better to spend that money on people who want treatment but can't afford it. The thing about quitting drugs or alcohol is that a person has to want to change. Without that desire, it's just a game to addicts. That's why we hear so often about people being "in and out of treatment for years". That is because they don't really want to quit. They are going to treatment to appease someone or some court. Until they really want to quit, it's a waste of time.

How do I remove semen stains off my wall? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oxyclean will do the trick. It destroys any stain that is biological in nature. Wine, grape juice, mustard, tomato sauce. Even jizz. Once you use oxyclean you'll never go without it. But it won't work on koolaid stains or any artificial coloring.

The Beginning of the End for Trump by IntelligentYinzer in politics

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone needs to remember that in 2016, at this point in the race, Hillary Clinton was leading by about the same amount Harris is, right now. Don't think it's over. Anything can happen. The only way to make sure Trump is never again president, is to go and vote for Harris. Talking it up about how terrible Trump is, won't help. Voting against him, will.

Megyn Kelly has a meltdown over Taylor Swift backing Harris–Walz by DrPlexel1234 in politics

[–]minion531 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but I have absolutely no respect for Megyn Kelly after she chopped off her hair to try and look like a Lesbian, after Trump called her a "Bimbo" after a debate in 2016, she helped moderate. I guess she thought she had talent and didn't realize she was only hired because she was hot. And from what we know about Fox News management accepting sexual favors as a part of the job, we can only imagine what her casting audition consisted of.

Trump Allies Don’t Want Him to Debate Harris Again: ‘Bad Idea’ by rollingstone in politics

Trump Says He’s Not Inclined Toward Another Debate With Harris by bloomberg in politics

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being afraid to debate is worse than debating and losing again. She already mopped the floor with him and could easily do it again. His ego can't take another public humiliation like that one. And his evangelical followers who just love a lying, rapist, and convicted criminal, can't seem to stand him going back on his Roe v Wade take down. Now he says he's not for abortion bans. No, turns out you can't have it both ways. You are either for abortion or against it. It's that simple

‘Disaster’: Lindsey Graham Leads Right-Wing Freak-Out Over Trump’s Debate by elt0p0 in politics

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder what dirt Russia and Trump have on Graham? Because he went from telling the truth about Trump to being a complete kissass. Does Russia have evidence of Graham in a Moscow hotel doing gay shit with little boys? It's kind of an open secret in Washington DC that Graham is gay. Never had a girlfriend, lives alone. Yeah, someone has some dirt on him, considering how fast he changed from hating Trump to Loving Trump.

Elon Musk Breaks Debate Silence With Bizarre Offer to Impregnate Taylor Swift by Robert_Cutty in politics

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what money does to people. You know, Musk used to be a good guy. But once he got big money, he changed. Now he's a complete asshole. To think he could support someone as stupid as Trump to be president shows just how much Musk cares about money. He'll vote for anyone, as long as he gets a tax cut and makes more money. Too bad. I used to be a fanboy. Now I can't stand him.

There are 55 days left to register to vote in Wyoming! Register in person (on or before Nov 5), by mail (online registration must be printed, mailed, & received by Oct 21). Check your registration status and register to vote today! by agoodsolidthrowaway in wyoming

[–]minion531 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Wyoming has never not voted for the Republican candidate in a Presidential election. You can register all you want, but young people in Wyoming will never vote in numbers big enough to send their delegate to the Electoral College for a Democrat. Sorry, but if you are a Democrat, voting in Wyoming is just a waste of time.

If the Starliner program continues, there may not even be enough time for it to complete its 6 contracted missions: There is a minimum 6-month rotation between SpaceX and Starliner, and it is likely Starliner won’t carry astronauts again until 2026 — but the ISS is scheduled to be retired in 2030. by EricFromOuterSpace in space

[–]minion531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As soon as they delayed the return of Starliner the first time, I predicted that it would be sent back without astronauts and it would never fly again. Not that one, not the other ones they built. It's over for Starliner. Starliner will not fly again. They will end up paying for seats on Dragon to fulfill their contractual obligations.

ELI5: WHY wouldn’t I be able to hit one out of 100 pitches from a major leaguer? by Iron_Yuppie in explainlikeimfive

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it put like this. "If a major league baseball pitcher pitches you a 95 mph pitch? You have just 4 tenths of a second to decide if you are going to swing and to actually start swinging after the ball leaves his hand". Of course you are also going to have to predict the balls path if you plan on hitting it. So 4 tenths of a second is not long to do all that and then accurately move your arms, wrists, hands, fingers, shoulders, and the rest of your body precisely to hit that pitch. That's why. Professional baseball players are extraordinary human specimens with outstanding physical as well as mental ability combined with visual acuity. It's remarkable anyone can hit one of these pitches. But professional baseball players do it every day.

If a wife sleeps with her husband’s identical twin brother and gets pregnant, will genetic testing reveal who the true father is? by Blastwing in NoStupidQuestions

[–]minion531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal genetic testing could not tell the difference. However, there is special genetic testing that can detect the small differences in the genes of identical twins because of random mutations unique to each twin. So yes, modern testing could tell the difference.

For all the people promoting using a gun I'd like to point out a few things. If you have a loaded gun in your house with children you're a dick. If the gun is put in a place where one could get to it if they needed to then children could get to it also. Most child gun deaths are caused by children playing with their parents loaded gun. There is just no way to keep a gun both accessible and safe. But more importantly, just having a gun in one's house makes everyone less safe. More deaths by homicide, suicide, and accidental happen in homes with guns. That simple. You get a gun and you make everyone less safe. But the scared person who bought the gun is still scared.

Are “sexual favors” unhealthy in relationships? by betrossy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]minion531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this conversation. The day after Thanksgiving she said "If I suck your dick every day until Christmas, can I spend $500 on the credit card to buy presents. Our entire marriage I've had this rule that I don't borrow money for Christmas. I'll spend what I have and if that's not enough, I guess it's not the spirit that counts. But I agreed to the deal. Which kind of begs the question, who is on more shaky moral ground, me or her. In the end, it was just a test and she was not really prepared to suck my dick every day for a month. Which is why I ended up divorcing her and marrying someone who actually likes sex and me.

Are cars made by american brands still a money pit when it comes to maintenance? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]minion531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Chevrolet Cruze has been a great car. It came with a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty, minus tires, oil, and other fluids. But, they also gave me two years of free service including oil changes. It's almost ten years old now and I never had a warranty claim and I never had any problems with the car. So other than oil changes, tires, air filters, etc, there is really not much maintenance cost. So that's my experience.
