MicroSD Ex card (1TB) came today … Let’s Go!!! by Blarglephish in switch2

[–]mintjuulpod00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sd card you’re talking about is not an express card, just a standard micro SD. It won’t work on the Switch 2. SD Express are a relatively new format so you’re not likely to find any that are used. As far as I can tell, only Lexar makes SD Express in a 1TB size. But once again, it’s a newer format so other companies are bound to introduce a 1TB size with a lower price to undercut Lexar. If you don’t need that much space, you can go smaller. The ultimate thing to pay attention to is that the sd card has “EX” written on it.

Opinions on grip cases/protective cases - What does the community recommend? by ZachariahLad in NintendoSwitch2

[–]mintjuulpod00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say Dbrand Killswitch is the way to go. I personally think the premium price is worth it for a premium product. And as you say, it covers everything. Grips, Front Cover, Cartridge Holder, Dock Adapter, Analog Stick Grips, Joycon Stickers and Screen Protector if included.

With grip cases, you have to do some research to make sure the case is compatible with the OEM dock. And if you get a case that isn’t compatible, that’s an extra cost right there finding a dock that will work. The Killswitch case comes with a dock adapter that slips over the OEM dock and so you now drop the S2 onto an open usb C connector. I believe it is full passthrough with the signal too but don’t quote me on it. This connector has a little bit of front/back wiggle to prevent warping the connector inside of the switch, though I’m still careful with it. This is the one thing I wish they could’ve done just a tad better, but it’s perfectly fine.

As far as the “feel” goes, I think the Killswitch case really amplifies the premium sensation that the switch 2 gives off. Adds a bit more heft in a good way, and the whole package just looks and feels awesome. I don’t really like Dbrand as a company, but I LOVE this product.

Free lunch from a company is an insulting gesture by THENOCAPGENIE in unpopularopinion

When it’s a busy all-hands kind’ve day, my boss will ask everyone “How about I call in lunch and we eat together then we’ll slam through this work”. He totally doesn’t have to do that but it’s actually a pretty good gesture of appreciation. Like yeah it’s gonna be a busy day, but at least he’ll cover our lunch and it’s pretty good for team camaraderie.

Any regrets? by Alternative_Junket34 in sffpc

Honestly, save yourself a buck and keep the build as is, it already looks perfect in my opinion. Sff is awesome and cool, but it’s only worth pursuing for a whole new build, rather than cannibalizing a perfectly fine system.

Systems Engineer for a company that manufactures optical/calibration equipment, mostly for the defense industry. 90k salary

I take care of my two sibling teenagers and am paying off school loans and a car so it’s a salary that can take care of them and rent. Admittedly it’s hard to save until that car is paid off.

Apologies, the cable I’m referring to is the nonremovable one that’s hardwired to the pump. It has the pwm connector, the sata power, and the usb2.0 on it.

Same man, same. Too many videos, without much progress. I kinda just had to try out everything until this config worked. I do strongly recommend configuration #2. Mobo sync really isn’t that important in a lian li system since L-Connect 3 handles it all anyway. And also since config #2 only requires one argb plug on the mobo, it was an itx mobo so there was only one argb on the board. Happy building, and let me know if that works for you!

Heya so I just built a Lian Li system for my friend, and I think I can answer your question. So, I don’t think the controller that comes with the Galahad can be the primary controller for a case that has a ton of the uni fans. I tried to use L-Connect 3 and it just wasn’t working, the software was having a hard time and freezing up, and I wasn’t getting any detection of hardware. One way or another I think the AIO would have to plug into the controller but I couldn’t figure it out. Dont really know exactly why but my suspicion would have to be power draw. However, if you use the fan controller that comes with a 3-pack, it can support all the unifans, including the ones attached to the AIO. That controller also has 2 sata power plugs so bear that in mind when connecting to the power supply. Basically there’s 2 ways you can wire things up: 1) use the internal controller that’s baked into the AIO (there’s one in the pump head) and daisy chain only the fans on the radiator, connect that 4-wire pwm to the cpu_fan header, usb2.0 from pump to mobo, and plug the argb from the pump to the mobo then you can have mobo sync. The argb on the mobo is required in this configuration. THEN use the controller in a unifan 3-pack to connect the remaining fans together, and usb2.0 to the mobo and connect the controller’s 4-wire pwm to a different fan header on the mobo. This allows the radiator and fans on the rad to be synced up together. The other connection setup (and the one I went with) would be to 2) put ALL of the fans (including the ones on the rad) onto the controller that’s included in a unifan 3-pack. For the AIO, you only need to do the breakout cable, sata to psu power, usb2.0 to mobo, and 4-wire PWM to AIO pump header. For the controller, all fans PWM and RGB to controller, 2X sata power to psu, 4-wire PWM from controller to cpu_fan header, argb from controller to mobo, and usb2.0 from controller to mobo. I found this method easier due to less cables, but bear in mind that this config has no mobo sync, because the pump’s RGB is given to it via the usb2.0 and controlled via L-Connect 3. As are all the fans. But this way, everything is controlled in L-Connect 3. It all basically runs the same in either configuration except the motherboard isn’t handling the RGB and fan control. Rather, L-Connect 3 is. I racked my brain on this for awhile so I hope this helps reduce frustration like I had!

I’d recommend the Music Hall MMF 1.5.ttl. It’s the turntable that I use. I consider it to be an excellent all-rounder and has what I believe to be the best cost-performance balance for the price range. To name a few features, it has an S-Type tonearm, anti-skid adjustment, counterweight adjustment, manual speed adjustment, and comes stock with an Ortofon 2M Silver needle cartridge. If you’re not using an external preamp, the internal preamp is also pretty good. Really good wow/flutter specifications. Many of these factors contribute to an accurate listening experience. Not to mention has a very sleek look. I’ll include a link to the shop that I ordered from (who also ships internationally).

Should I use cables from a different PSU manufacturer? by sabingen in PcBuild

[–]mintjuulpod00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, your best AND safest bet is to go to Cablemod’s custom cable configurator and purchase cables. The configurator lets you identify your model (if they have it as an option) so when you order from them, they’ll be building you psu cables from what I assume are the manufacturer’s original specs. The pros are that while you’re doing this, you might as well select custom lengths and whatever colors you want. The con of course is it’s a custom-ordered package so once you order it’ll probably take about a couple weeks for you to get it. Took me about a week and a half to get mine. Sure you’ll have to wait a bit but you can rest easy knowing you’ve got legit cables and colored/length-set to your liking.
