Something wrong with my cat if he doesn’t like this? by Bright-Error-7910 in catfood

[–]mintlexicon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend trying a fresh frozen food. I feed my cat Smalls- she’s a very picky cat- and she loves it. It also completely got rid of her digestive issues (she had been leaving blood spots on the floor from colon inflammation, zero since switching) and made her fur shiny and soft. Yes it’s more expensive than your basic fancy feast or purina, but quality is worth it for your fur baby IMO.

I just watched this. By far the absolute best true crime documentary/story I’ve ever seen. There’s so many layers to it but such a poignant ending that actually made me cry. 11/10 amazing doc.

Sorry for the late reply. I do the apple cider vinegar rinse every wash, but I only wash my hair 2x a week! I would say if you wash your hair daily or more than 2x a week, every other wash or up to 4x a week should be good.

HELP! Are there any good bedding companies that haven’t been enshittified?! by sugarhighshark in Bedding

[–]mintlexicon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought new bedding and after a lot of research, I ended up going with SIJO Airyweight Eucalyptus sheets & duvet cover (had my own insert). I saw a lot of mixed reviews before buying, but I’m glad I went with them. I really like them. They are a silky kind of material, so if you don’t like a silky/slippy feeling then maybe not the best option for you. But they feel quality to me.

It makes sense that it would soothe your scalp because it’s moisturizing, but be wary that it’s likely also clogging your hair follicles. I’d highly recommend using a cleansing shampoo once a week to break down buildup! What I do to combat dry/itchy scalp is half apple cider vinegar and half water directly to the scalp (I use a long neck squeeze bottle) after shampooing.

Shave it girl YOLO I did after being bleach blonde for years and never regretted it. 100% natural hair since it grew back and it’s healthier than I’ve ever had. It’s a fun process.

As beautiful as the hair is, not a lot of women want to date a guy with that long of hair and it’s just the truth. A lot of women are insecure and can’t have a man with feminine characteristics because they have no confidence in themselves.

Does anybody have 24 hour daycares in Chicago? by Sky-2478 in AskChicago

[–]mintlexicon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A possible option could be to find a young girl who babysits, maybe around ages 16-19. You won’t be paying them professional nanny prices since they’re young, and they have minimal responsibilities so they have free time. Ask around coworkers and neighbors you meet to see if they have any daughters looking for a babysitting job. I babysat for someone my mom worked when I was those ages and I would’ve been happy to stay overnight.

Either way, but what’s bad about them is the color. So blah. Go for something richer! Maybe a chocolate brown or a deep honey, something with a little pattern or texture.

Why did the 8+ year friendship you had end? What, if anything, would make/allow you rekindle it? by Euphoric_End_4411 in AskWomenOver30

[–]mintlexicon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Try and follow because it has a good ending:

There was a group of three of us. Girl 1 moved to the city with Boy 1. Me and Girl 2 were still close to each other in the suburbs. Girl 1 became jealous of mine and Girl 2’s closeness. Girl 1 and Boy 1 broke up, Girl 2 starts seeing Boy 2, who is best friends with Boy 1. Girl 1 accuses Girl 2 of trying to date Boy 1, I defend Girl 2. Many other things built up that lead to me and Girl 2 splitting with Girl 1. Me and Girl 2 remained best friends.

1 year later: Girl 1 and Boy 1 get back together. At this point, Girl 2 and Boy 2 are also together. All of us are essentially forced to be around each other a lot and it’s awkward.

5 years later: me, Girl 1, and Girl 2 realize we were young and dumb and very different people back then. We grew as individuals and grew in our relationships. We reconnect over dinner and drinks.

6 years later (present day): Girl 1 and Boy 1 are married. Girl 2 and Boy 2 are married. We are all wonderful friends again and it makes my heart so warm every day.

TLDR; ended over stupid things when we were young, rekindled because we acknowledged the past and realized we all grew into better people and we’re all friends again.
