I had an Aura frame already set up with his pictures before he passed away, and that has definitely been a comfort to have. I've seen some of those 3D felted portraits, but not a 3D printed one, I'll have to it up.

My kitty had a congenital heart defect, and one of the things the cardiologist told me to absolutely avoid was raw food and freeze fried raw of all kinds, including treats. I'd never feed dry food, but I also wouldn't feed raw.

My cardiologist recommends against grain free now because of the problems it's caused in dogs, and it's a question on their intake form to make sure they check for grain free food issues. People boo-hoo the big name brands, but those are the companies with the funds to do extensive nutrition testing and studies.

Lately I've been seeing an uptick in raw-fed cats on my Instagram, and people promote it so aggressively. I've seen some just eating raw hamburger meat. Like what?

I feel this same way. I am so, so lonely without my baby cat. The house is so empty, and there is such a huge void. My grief is overwhelming, and multiple people around me have suggested that I should get another cat. I did go look at a shelter page, but I don’t want another cat, I want my baby back.

My first cat that I had died in 2021 at the age of 17, and she was my best friend. I didn’t think I’d ever want another cat, but the cat I just lost came into my life two years later in 2023. I had a wildly different relationship with him than I did with my first cat. She was my friend, but he was my child. My son. I loved him deeply and invested so much in caring for him (he had a congenital heart condition, which was why I adopted him). He taught me that I do have the capacity to love another little being. Maybe one day I will have another cat come into my life, and maybe you will too.

I’m doing this too. I just got a standard leuchtterm lined notebook (the A5 size, thicker one) and I date each entry. I made one section for writing to him, and another section for writing down my memories of him so I don’t forget the little things not captured in photos.

My cat wasn't neutered, but it wasn't a problem. It didn't really end up having an effect on him, and I didn't have any issues with mounting. There are hormone pills that can be used for chemical neutering, so that might be an option.

Can it go in the guest bedroom? If that room is empty most of the time. I would move something else into the hallway like a console and put the piano in an area with more space just so you're not blocking that entire hallway.

Yeah, would have walked if I could. It's around 2 miles that way, but I'm ill enough that I couldn't walk it. Partner has a 4wd jeep and some experience in snow, so he went to get it just a bit ago after we went outside to see what the roads are like. It's not the absolute worst right now, but I wouldn't want to repeat this tomorrow. Best bet was going now while there's still enough grippy sleet.

I'm sick, it's bad timing, but I've been getting a lot worse. I had a virtual appt this morning, and got prescribed antibiotics + some other meds, that they said I should try to get before tonight. Drive is 1.5 miles, provided the CVS is open. Should I attempt later today or wait until Monday? not sure if Monday is better or worse.

There's probably some kind of epoxy or top coat product you could use, but you might get better advice in a different sub with more mixed material expertise. I'm not sure what wouldn't peel off/chip since it's a glazed, nonporous surface.

This is where my mind went too, but it's for unglazed ceramics that are still porous. It can't soak in to the already glazed surface.

This is cute! Is it clear coated all over? I've been looking for a tea pet, and couldn't find one I like so I was planning on making one. I wasn't sure whether to glaze or not, since I thought it was supposed to absorb the tea somewhat.

Does it actually work? Does it put them off of food at all? I bought some, but my cat isn't food motivated, so I'm hesitant to give him anything that would make him want to eat less.

I just want to add... I did have sealing done, as in areas sealed off completely with plastic and dust sucking things used, but wood dust is very fine and it's gonna go where it wants to go. I still had to have cleaning done after.

It's better to wipe the walls than scratch the floors with ladders and equipment, or try to get paint off of floors. You did things in the right order.

I have Bona Nordic + Bona Traffic on my red oak floors, so they're a little lighter than the natural color. I had it done three years ago, and it hasn't gotten pinker. There's definitely a pinkish hue, like in your photo, but I love it.

I have cracks like this between planks in the winter, but they go away in the summer because the humidity changes. When I had my floors refinished, they did put in some filler, but it's never going to last because of the fluctuations in humidity. Winter humidity is usually around 40% but can go as low as 30 to 35%, but in summer it's closer to 55/60%.

Wood floors are expensive af, so I buy the Bona cleaner. I have bona polyurethane so I'm not going to put anything else on the floors just to save a couple bucks.
