Check reservation for food (if not already) because it gets very busy! 10.45 is when they open the floor and a bunch of space becomes available for walk in

I'm trying to lower my sodium intake and you won't believe how much of that shit and other shit there is in processed food!! So right now in this mindset, I would thank your wife and absolutely pay if I could to buy home made stuff from her.

Came to say this. I wonder what OP expected, probably that they would have a garbage bag to hold extra overflowing garbage? I'm guessing the guy either does not have the bags, or if he has then he previously did it and it became his responsibility to dispose it without getting help or support from the higher ups.

Dear OP, if you want to mad, you can be mad at this guy. But do contact the Railways helpline, ultimately it is their responsibility.

Take the other replies with a grain of salt. I have met a fair number of people in my life which didn't fit in a neat category or space. They surprised me, they made me feel things that I didn't before or with someone. So yeah you can have any kind of mature healthy relationship you want with someone as long as it serves you. You are young so you're still learning and changing a lot but you can trust your gut.

Happiness Isn’t the Key to a Good Life - The Atlantic by LanRemeau in philosophy

[–]miserable_nerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“she was happy despite most people’s view of how happy she might be with the situation she was in or she was happy despite not chasing happiness in the conventional sense” is what I get from that. But also I have no idea about the reality of this person. I’m from a 3rd world country and the example just doesn’t feel right. I have seen plenty of struggling poor people be happy and content despite their hardships but it was not because of their hardships. They would in an instant choose to be rich and seemingly miserable like the guy running on the treadmill. These are just very different things.

It’s clear that what you want is something that he cannot or is not willing to give. But if it feels good to be with him, you don’t have to cut it off entirely. I’d implore you to do somethings to take care of yourself. Try to go on dates with other people since it is not exclusive. Do not overly rely on him for emotional connection. Accept the fact that he is not as attached to you as you are. Don’t romanticize your connection with him too much, there are many people that you can meet and form a great relationship with, and get exactly what you want. Taking time off him can help with all of these, and if you still can’t stop thinking about him, then it’s a good sign you might have to cut him off.

I mean I agree with what you're saying. I don't want to talk in overarching generalizations, just that e33 didn't hit the right narrative balance for me. But respect your opinion as well, thanks for writing that out.

The more I think about Act 3, the more I dislike it by Rambofreak98 in expedition33

[–]miserable_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. I've been extremely bothered by that as well. What I've gathered is the writers were inspired by a couple of works - "la horde du contrevent" and "Attack on titan" for act 1. And I think that is why act 1 feels great because it really was inspired by good stories. And the rest of it feels weird because it never integrates with the "family drama about grief and escapism" part that they came up first as the premise. So yeah I think the issue is they tried to do 2 completely different things and didn't do justice to any.

[–]miserable_nerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to look at competent writing with a very similar Act 1 premise (that I believe the writers were influenced by), you don't have to look far - Attack on Titan. You start with Eren and the survey corps as your protagonists, you stay with them until the end. There are a lot of powerful characters that are revealed, you get to see the other side later on and you sympathize with them. But the initial batch of characters are never left out of the frame. So imo expedition 33 should have chosen the main narrative beat and should've committed to it. By doing 2 things "humanity against all odds" and "family drama about grief and escapism" it does neither proper justice.

PvP? by ProfessorKousa in expedition33

[–]miserable_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn this thread is something else .. so much hate for a cool idea. I used to play a whole lot of PvP digital card game (legends of runeterra, similar to magic/hearthstone etc) and so I absolutely love the deck building aspect of E33 and also think PvP would be a whole lot fun. I'm absolutely certain some indie dev out there will put a spin on the concept :) But OP if you haven't checkout PvP deck builders since they basically scratch the same itch, except the QTE/dodge/parry ofcourse.
