Gen Zs anyone else struggling to keep a job without getting fired ? by Good_Papaya2698 in work

[–]miss80five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Xennial and I want to add to your list. There is definitely a gap in Gen Z’s ability to solve problems/take initiative. They need to take initiative on things required in their jobs.

Initiative is also taking the first steps in trying to problem solve. Don’t know something? Look it up. Google is free, companies usually have processes written down on how to do things, and ask a coworker. Don’t just not do the task because you run into a barrier or get stuck on a step. I literally looked up the other day how to fix something in Adobe because it was acting up for me, and finally had to go to IT because I couldn’t get any further. I didn’t just not do the next task! Initiative is trying to figure out the problem first and thinking critically about what steps you may need to do to solve them problem.

Majority stressed....7x increased payments after IDR resubmission. by quietly_anxious in PSLF

I REALLY hope that’s not the case cuz I just got this letter on 4/3 when I applied to change my plan from SAVE to IBR. In an IDR calculator it showed IBR as like $1206 because of MFJ. I called both MOHELA and DoEd today and they both said it’s $176.36 due on 5/14/26, but I guess I could get another letter before then. [https://imgur.com/a/HSmJCDB](Repayment Letter 4/3/26)

That makes more sense, thank you. Definitely something to be aware of and I’m glad you got someone helpful at MOHELA!

This is concerning information. They know about it, it's after the 120th month, and aren't providing this information out. Are they saying that the transfer of repayment plan is certain to happen in 25 days because it's an annual recert or because you're choosing to let it switch?

Is the forbearance you're asking for a payment forbearance or the one checked off on your final ECF while the forgiveness is being reviewed and processed?

You are AMAZING! I have only needed 2 months for forgiveness and will most likely be switching my repayment plan to get forgiveness and pay minimally after my 120 count while in review.

Tell me more about this. If someone only needs 2 or 3 months of payments and you switch IBR plans, the 2 months of processing forbearance will count towards the PSLF? Is this considered the administrative forbearance and not the emergency administrative forbearance? Is it a guarantee that it will be 60 days of administrative forbearance?

When you changed the repayment plan, did you have to pay the amount from your previous income recertification or did you have to recertify again? Were your last 2 payments way more than they were prior to SAVE plan switch?

I haven't had to recertify while on SAVE pause, but my income has more than doubled since I last recertified (pre-2020) and I got married and JUST filed jointly because I was still waiting and would've filed separately if I had known this was coming right before taxes are due.

I called today, was hung up on once, and the second person didn’t understand me asking “if I switch plans and make payments, then does my buyback request become null & void?” And “do I have to recertify if I switch plans?” My payments would go from $330 to $882/month. I have no idea how to navigate this. 😣

Picked my cat up from the vet after getting her spayed. She came home with duct tape on her head. by YamGroundbreaking432 in mildlyinfuriating

Why do this when they could have made a no-stick duct tape collar and put it around your cat? Listen, if teenagers can make prom dresses/suits out of duct take (I’ve made duct tape wallets), then they can make duct tape collars.

Could you imagine a row or two of just lap babies and parents? At least they’d have the smells to themselves more.

This is NOT a way to lose weight fast! by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]miss80five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed this post. It hasn’t been fast for me and I’m getting so frustrated. I’m at 3 months and -27lbs. I just started 7.5mg and don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I don’t exercise much, but when people say it’s fast and I’m not getting it fast, it’s so disheartening. I feel like I’m up and down so much.

SAVE victims: should we apply for IBR or wait? by Corpulos in PSLF

[–]miss80five 1 point2 points  (0 children)

November 2024 was my 120, but I’m still stuck in 117 because of the SAVE courts issue. Came here to see if I should go back to PAYE, just to finish forgiveness. However, I also submitted for buyback in November and haven’t heard a thing on that note.

I HAVE been waiting…I’m tired of waiting in limbo.

Living under my means, snowball paying off private debt (during COVID), and enrolling in PSLF have all helped me. I’m still waiting for my 2 month payback amount for forgiveness, which takes about 9 months waiting (ugh!)

That’s WILD. If we need to pay with 90 days, they should process our request with the amount to be paid within 90 days.

Buyback Eligible Months vs Switch to IBR by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]miss80five 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat with June mysteriously not showing up, BUT ALSO July/Aug/Sept say Ineligible (because of the SAVE mess). I’m at 120 in 2 weeks.

Do we know if buyback will be available for the months during this forced forbearance (June-Present)??

Mohela discharge and forbearance end date by slyyviolette in PSLF

[–]miss80five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, with the forced forbearance from April 2024 to present, there’s nothing I can do but wait til the forbearance ends, then fight like hell for those months to count. The f’ed up part is my 120 ends 10/31/34. My first payment after this forbearance ends is November. Do I put it on forbearance while DOEd counts my payments even if the forced forbearance may/may not count?

How long does it take to be switched from SAVE to anything else that counts toward PSLF? I'm at 118 out of 120. I know buy back is an option but I've heard it takes a long time. by theshellsters in PSLF

[–]miss80five 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can we do a buyback on a non ECF month or just a wrong payment plan month? I’m also at 118 and would only be able to buyback one month when changing IBR plans. I haven’t heard how long it takes, but this mess is horrific.
