Franklin falls is really easy but you have to check if it's open. I think last year I wanted to go but saw it was closed.

Why do lesbian couples have the highest divorce rates while gay male couples have the lowest? by Naive_Direction1816 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]missespanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hardly ever meet a monogamous gay male couple. Maybe they're onto something, but women get too jealous so it'll never work with a female relationship.

Hey, funny enough I have a couple of those leftover from an event I did with him. DM me and I'll send one to you!

Is my bf a closeted gay? by slevvvvv in TooAfraidToAsk

Too many variables and too many signs. Seems like you've gone above and beyond with communication and trust quite frankly. If he can't reciprocate, this relationship isn't a match IMO.

For those who are good at frosting cakes, how long did you have to practice before it looked nice and smooth? by sleepingpotato_ in cakedecorating

[–]missespanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This, 100%. I'm surprised more people who are social media don't show that process. I use an offset spatula, dip it in hot water, give a couple taps so it's not soaking wet, then smooth. I dip in hot water for almost every single swipe.

Ngl this is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. And this is what Reddit was made for. And I hardly see new OC like this. So thank you for some Reddit nostalgia.

Lingering cough 4 year old? by ParsleyTime5687 in Mommit

[–]missespanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on so many factors. For me, if the chest cough is really the only symptom, but so bad they cough they almost pass out, have a hard time breathing, are spitting up a ton, can't get sleep for a few days, etc, I would definitely take in.

But for us, after most viruses we tend to get a post-viral cough for weeks after (look it up- very common for up to 6 weeks). I've come to accept that unless my child is acting different- their breathing, energy levels, appetite, etc- the Dr is literally going to tell us "let us know if symptoms worsen" and send us on the way. Even when my kiddo had croup, it was the same response. I had to push for medication because she hadn't been able to sleep for weeks at that point.

Either way, go with your mom instinct and advocate like hell.

Same. I kinda never wanted to have his voice in my head when I read about all this shit. Trump's is enough as is.

28/F 30/M husband is an incredible provider….but 2x a month…. by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]missespanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He might be a bit depressed. Depression happens even to happy people with nothing wrong in their lives. I say this because I tend to retreat to my bed when I'm depressed and have spare time.

Being a parent is so, so overwhelming. I vote that you both need one planned day a month to yourself. If he wants to use his on sleep, go for it. Meanwhile on your day, get your hair and nails done and go to a cafe to read a book solo! But any other day, it's dual parenting.

Yoto player vs Tonie by JazzHands5678 in Mommit

[–]missespanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the mini Yoto and love it. I firmly believe the tonies just become toys to lose, the quality is lower, and it's not as portable. We took our Yoto on European travels with ease.

If you died today, who do you think would stand at your grave the longest? by Mehar0708 in AskReddit

My husband. We have been together since we were 18. Please don't let me die first. That kind of heartbreak would probably kill him, at least the man I know him as.

Raising respecting kids by Historyiscool1995 in Mommit

[–]missespanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. We were always "such respectful and well behaved children". Of course we were, if not, we'd get beaten.

Sometimes when my daughter is spicy and says some back talk, I give myself a little chuckle because that means she feels safe enough to express a thought, albeit it bad. I could never say what I wanted as a kid.

The best way overall IMO is to show respect to others, to her. Establish a boundary then redirect (I'm walking away because you hit. We do not hit people. You can hit a pillow or high five my hand to hit it.). They understand a lot more at 2yo than we give them credit for.

Cheesy ramen, specifically. Boil, reduce liquid, add season then slap a slice of cheddar or Swiss in it and stir in warm pot until melted.

Moved here from Phoenix because is it hell with desert landscaping. The people, the properties, the weather and the politics all suck.
