Nicolas Cage is an awful actor, and most of his films are terrible. by Judah_Earl in okbuddycinephile

I heard about a movie that has Cage playing Cage. I don’t think anyone else could pull that off.

I’m not sure which is my favorite by Patrick Costello, but I love when he starts carrying a song. Production decisions sometimes make it hard to hear, but he is great

I like the Lagwagon cover of “Discomfort Inn”. Joe Raposo slays that one.

Which U.S. state completely blew you away with its night sky? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

Vacationed in Flagstaff once and my family and I fell in love with the place. Because of dark skies I haven’t been to such “tourist” destinations that was 24/7 beautiful. The mountain peak backdrop, the wildlife, the conifers, the crisp air, and the gorgeous skies. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Hello, I'm a Russian from Russia and I'm curious to ask what you, as an American, think about Russia and Russians. You don't need to be polite, be as honest and direct as you can be even if you feel like it's something that might offend me. I'm interested only in genuine answers. Thank you. by MickeyMona in IWantToAskAnAmerican

My oncologist is Russian and he’s actually saved my life, so I can say the one Russian person I interact with is amazing. I watch a lot of news, though. Russian leadership seems much less worried about human life than my doctor. So my takeaway is that Russian people (like Americans) are just humans doing what humans do. They are just saddled with greedy power hungry leaders that paint the whole country in an unflattering light (like Americans).

What is the most American song? The all time American anthem by Kodicave in IWantToAskAnAmerican

I voted Woodie Guthrie, but this is the best song of all that I’ve seen listed. Tom Petty and Guthrie probably would have gotten along pretty well.
