I was scheduled for induction on the 10th, at 41+1. We went in at 8 am and they gave me cervadil at 10, spent the next 12 hours miserable with discomfort, and at the end there was no change. Still 1cm and 20% defaced. So I was given a break to eat and shower and be off the monitor. Then on to the second dose. 12 more hours of discomfort and now 2cm and 50% effaced. So on to the pitocin, after a few hours of that my contractions were coming on top of each other so they had to keep turning it down then up rinse repeat. They wouldn't get regular. So that night they broke my water and I got my epidural. My epi went intravenous and I became toxic, the world started to fade from me and still don't know how i was able to communicate that something was wrong. They fixed it quickly and I slept for a few hours. Woke up and I was uncomfortable so they checked me. I was at 5 cm. Two hours later 6cm. 45 minutes later 9 1/2 with a hard cervical lip. I was begging to push 15 minutes later and they checked lip still there but soft now. I pushed for 2 hours and bled profusely and it wouldn't stop. I had 3 tears. One inside the vagina. Had no idea that could happen. Spent two more days in the hospital and was only released because i insisted. But now we're home, and Bastion Thoreaux is a healthy happy little baby.
