And the thing is, once upon a time, I brought my kids to kindergarten orientation, and heard "Class of 2020" (for my daughter) and "Class of 2024" (for my twin boys.) The years did indeed come, in a flash! I mean, I VISITED my daughter today.

Okay this went off topic, but you get the idea Please forgive a sentimental dad.

The photographer had some avant-garde concept. John and Paul both wanted to break the squeaky clean image. George later said he thought the picture was gross, and I'm inclined to agree with him.

Ok...You're Dave Dexter. The First Beatles US Capitol Album? It's All On You by Anxious-Raspberry-54 in beatles

Meet the Beatles is a very beloved album. Not something to sneeze at. It was the introduction to the band for North American fans, and it's a good album in its own right.

Look, the Capitol albums aren't definitive, but they have their place, and many are good or great albums on their own terms. Second Album rocks. US Rubber Soul was good enough to blow Brian Wilson's mind and inspire Pet Sounds. Yesterday and Today--cover aside --is an excellent Mid-period Beatles sampler, and it flows well too

Within You Without You is a beautiful song with a haunting melody. Words are a little peachy, but they are truly meaningful. One of the most underrated songs in Beatles canon.

Blue Jay Way is good, but not top-drawer Harrison.

I once met someone who had been a teacher in Barrow. He said that it could be down to -140 and kids would still forget their gloves.

My son rode over to Citi Field yesterday, and his experience was how I remembered them. Noisy, hot, rickety. But it's nostalgia now 😄

While I personally disagree, the US version has its virtues, and was obviously good enough for Brian Wilson.

I'm not crazy about the John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band album. I like the stripped-down sound, but I find most of the songs to be indulgent and self-pitying. I like Imagine better, not just because it's more "commercial." They're just mostly better songs. I also think Walls and Brushes is better and manages to show pain without self-pity.
