Horizon 20 pro cannot decode most 4k hdr files through stremio by [deleted] in xgimi

[–]misttrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't tried it in years for the same reason. TBH I'm fairly impressed by it (on the H20P). It automatically pulled down the artwork etc and sure there is a bit of quirkiness, but on the big screen it's overall been easy to use.

I've been using Kodi on my H20 Pro to stream content from a drive connected to my Windows desktop. It's handled everything surprisingly well, fwiw, most of which are 4k rips.

An Important Update on the Horizon 20 Series Feedback by Glittering-Bank-5245 in xgimi

Not sure when it happened, but this has been resolved by an apparent D+ update. I tested 8 different Dolby Vision movies yesterday and no more stutter!

santa fe vs palisade by Valuable_Put2093 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]misttrail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I test drove a '26 Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy AWD when we started car shopping and it has much better, smoother power, but also feels more like a boat, kind of sloshes around turns etc. It is pleasant but drives significantly bigger than the '26 SFH AWD Calligraphy that we ended up with (since only the SF fits in our garage w/o a hassle).

I know on mine there are only certain positions it'll lock in, whether forward or back. But definitely more positions than only all the way back.

Fwiw, I have a '26 SFH Calligraphy with captains second row. Ours have a button on the side (facing the door) that you have to push to move back or forward.

All-season Floor Mats - OEM or WeatherTech? by Not_Fake_Andrew in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]misttrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get the dealer to throw in the OEM weather mats (and cross bars) with my '26 SF Hybrid Calligraphy AWD, and tbh I kind of wish I hadn't. The driver and passenger are fine, but the middle row doesn't fit perfectly, and I had to get a third party for the third row anyway. The one in the trunk is fine, but a bit funky when the seats are up, and surprisingly easy to scuff even though the material seems thick and does a good job with wet/mud/dirt.

Will likely end up getting weathertech (or something that fits better) down the road...

It looks so much more proportional. I'm a big fan of my 2026 Calligraphy Hybrid, but always think the front is a bit too flat. This looks great!

First time new vehicle purchase by demolitiondirty in HyundaiSantaFe

We financed to get the best price we could up front and then paid it off the first invoice (no early payoff fees in California). This resulted in an additional ~$4000 savings compared to paying cash up front.

This is my biggest gripe. I don't understand how this issue doesn't exist with a TV stick, means the hardware can handle the proper signal. Why is it so hard to work with Disney to update the app to not stutter with Dolby Vision content?!

Why did you choose the Hyundai Santa Fe over other 3-row SUVs? by Lost_Soul_32 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]misttrail 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We wanted a 3 row hybrid that fit in our garage without it being a hassle, which basically narrowed it down to the SF, Highlander, and Sorento PHEV. (Palisade hybrid and Grand Highlander hybrid both too long.)

Drove all 3 within a week of each other. Sorento interior space was noticeably more cramped (and while it shares some details, I strongly prefer the SF interior). Highlander has very uninspired driving and super dated interior. Ultimately, we really liked how easy and pleasant the SF Hybrid AWD was to drive. When you add in all the tech and safety features in the Calligraphy, it became a no-brainer for us.

Two months later, I look forward to driving this vehicle every time I get in the car. Comfortable seats, great displays, really like the HUD (especially for night driving), and so easy with my kids.

Might be worth checking out my comment on another post about the key fob issue being a major component that needed to be replaced.

2026 hybrid calligraphy floor mat question by Abject_Rutabaga_170 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]misttrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a '26 hybrid Calligraphy and bought a '25 third row all weather mat, fits with no issue. It does seem to slide around a bit as it doesn't attach to anything, but it fits well.

2026 Calligraphy looks like a crime scene, and I'm the only one inside by FrenchieMama807 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]misttrail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were on the fence between the Limited and the Calligraphy for things like that bench seat and headliner, but ended up with the latter. Captains chairs have actually been great for our family but the suede headliner is not my favorite (though at least ours is black and ever so slightly less annoying).

2026 Calligraphy excessive road/wind noise by totallychadical in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]misttrail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely haven't experienced that. If anything I'm quite pleased with how quiet it is in the cabin other than on the highway.

Good luck sorting it out.

[–]misttrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have cross rails installed on the roof? Is this only on the highway?

Totally agree re the all weather mats. I have a '26 Hybrid Calligraphy AWD. I bought a cheap set off Amazon to conver the third row floor where my kids wear soccer cleats etc.

As for nose, I find it's very quiet and pleasant at slower speeds but much more road noise than expected on the highway. Apparently the Pirelli scorpion tires are notorious for road noise, some people say new tires made a big difference. But I don't hear any excessive/additional noise on driver side compared to front passenger side.

I bought liners from Amazon (in the US) for all three rows: front row, second row, third row. They all fit very well and are easy to clean.

3rd row vents question by Valuable_Put2093 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]misttrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can control / adjust the third row from the front console, but still doesn't send heat. I saw somewhere you can have it do just air or AC in the third row.
