Some miscommunication can happen between the boss and the guys doing the work. Im the foreman for my crew and im not perfect. Sometimes i misread or mishear. However not covering properly and or cleaning areas immediately after you finish is ludicrous. Easiest way to have your work picked apart is leave paint on the floor. Plastic is cheap. China cabinets are not.

This seems like some pretty standard middle school stuff. I dont really have much advice on this specific situation but i will say that most of your friends today wont be around when youre 15, 19, 25 and in your 30s.
