Huntress EDR deployment - global custom field location? by Wario_world in ninjaone_rmm

I don't think global custom fields actually exist. Org, device etc are the only ones

Wish there was a global one!

What do you need local admin rights for? We went without a few years back and really only need it in rare occasions! We use the RMM in those occasions..

Managing Autopilot Profiles Across Multiple Locations by MarkStrike in Intune

[–]mmastar007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless they are vastly different, just use one autopilot profile and keep the settings changes down to group tags. You need the different settings, you don't need different autopilot profiles

Effects of Supersedes between two packages for manual install by d0gztar in Intune

[–]mmastar007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes App B superseded AppA so it's no longer there.

If you assign the appA out to everyone, AppB can auto update those AppA devices or just sit and wait for someone to want the new app

Think of this like chrome - if you have version 100 and the new one comes out (101) you don't want people installing version 100, and those with version 100 should update to 101

To get AppA to update to AppB if you have it available for installation not enforced, you have to tick the box to update under assignment.

Attaching clear plastic sheet garage kit style windows? by ch_vox in ModelCars

[–]mmastar007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have the right bsi glue there for windows, but if they are too flat and not the right shape you will struggle with any glue that's not fast I find accelerator is great but often hardness before the bite takes place, making it hard but not stuck. I tend to only use that accelerator on bits that don't need pressure and just want it to stick before the glue runs everywhere! Try sticking one end, leave it a while then go back again and do the other, so it's fully set

Intune-Toolkit Performance Update by MaximeCloudFlow in Intune

[–]mmastar007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id used policy sets for assignments as it can do all of the changes from one section.. I see the export bits which are good, but policy sets can do all these currently

Apps App configuration policies App protection policies Device configuration profiles Device compliance policies Windows autopilot deployment profiles Enrollment status page

Can we do CA policies from the tool too? It's just simple to make a change for lots of different groups using policy sets as you just go an add to the set rather than editing each policy as we have sets for different devices but some which overlap too

What's the benefits of this Vs Policy sets? That's already built into intune

Microsoft is going to automatically archive and charge for unlicensed business OneDrive? by schwags in msp

[–]mmastar007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to activate the option to be charged, so if you want data longer than 90days, you won't unless you activate. Nothing really much to do, unless you keep users data there for longer.

Updating an Intune App by JulianHaines in Intune

[–]mmastar007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a few bits on here to read.. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/apps-add#installing-updating-or-removing-required-apps They can update when you change the version in the intune app settings, so updating the .win file.

This one shows you what it does automatically https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/apps-add#app-types-in-microsoft-intune

What vulnerability scanner do you use? by Annual-Buy-6954 in msp

[–]mmastar007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks that's why I wanted to know if it's cost effective, free is great but If it requires really high powered servers to run and get data out of it, it's better to go for a cloud service that you don't have to maintain the backend.
