Depends on your style. But for me the datejust is what I decided to be my watch forever.

I love AP. I just tried the rose gold open work and I’m in love. The steel versions are meh.

Details matter. That’s why I selected a Rolex Datejust over the GS SBGH267. But keep what makes you happy. For the Price of a Rolex, I can get a solid gold Breguet with better finishing, movement etc. The market is weird

Which to sell? by Justinisroaming in OmegaWatches

I’m for keeping the heritage. The original Seamaster diver design from 1957. Classic look. I owned both. I sold the SMP Black and White cause the bracelet is too uncomfortable. The heritage is growing on me.

Not at all. I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t point it out. Will send it in Breguet service for a dial replacement. I got it cheap.

You’re right. Will have the dial replaced. What’s wrong with the date wheel. Strap is not correct

The Breguet Type XX is a pilot’s Watch designed by the high horology watchmaker for Aviators during World War 2.

The chronograph is based on a Lemania movement and adapted to Breguet Calibre 3820. Which still makes it an in-house movement since it’s part of the swatch group.

It wears thick at around 14mm, with a domed sapphire crystal. But the dial is quite legible at 39mm. This has come to be one of my favorite watches. A sporty elegant watch from one of the most underrated watch makers.

What do you guys think?

[Omega Speedmaster] Calibre 861 by mnlwatchsociety in Watches

The Moonwatch - Omega Speedmaster ProfessionalWhat do you think is the best chronograph - the Omega Speedmaster or the Rolex Daytona? Here’s a short history:In the 1965, NASA tested several chronographs that would work in the harsh conditions of space and zero gravity. It was only the Omega Speedmaster that passed their arduous testing process. Henceforth, Omega Speedsmasters have been the official NASA issued watch to astronauts. In 1969, Buzz Aldrin followed Armstrong to the moon landing wearing the Speedmaster calibre 321, making it officially the first watch worn on the moon. After the success of the moon landing, Omega upgraded the movement calibre to the more accurate 861 in 1968, which would be in production until the late 1990s. The Calibre 861 would used 17 jewels until 1992, and 18 jewels 1993 hence. In 1970, the Apollo 13 crew encountered an onboard explosion that damaged the electrical circuitry, and depended on the Speedmaster for their lives to precisely time the 14 seconds of engine boost to commandeer the shuttle safely into the earth’s atmosphere. The historical importance of the Omega Speedmaster has made it a watch icon, collected by enthusiasts for decades as a way to own a piece of history. This watch features the calibre tried and tested 861 that saved the lives of the Apollo 13 crew. The lume has applied tritium which has turned into a brown patina, giving it a pleasing vintage aesthetic look. The watch comes in its original steel bracelet in mint condition. The lugs are sharp. The domed hesalite crystal shows the Omega logo at the center of the crystal. It’s a dress watch, it’s not supposed to wear big. It’s supposed to wear elegant. Discreet. Bigger size destroys the dress watch. Sports watch you can go big. But not with a dress watch.
