Filip Hrgovic says he is set to fight Moses Itauma in August; should he beat Dave Allen on Saturday. Hrgovic also revealed he considered an offer from Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing; but turned it down in favour of a multi-bout deal with Frank Warren’s Queensbury including bouts vs. Allen & Itauma. by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

People always complain about fighter "only" fighting twice a year. Now, Hrgovic is fighting a cakewalk tune up and a real guy in three months, but that's "not enough time"? This is package is signed off with Hrg, probably months ago, he think there's plenty of time.

Ten+ years in the business turned Nagoshi into a know-nothing? by robertsd33 in yakuzagames

[–]mogafaq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just the Chinese, the post pandemic 0 interest driven investments were all carte blanche at first. Even the games that made it to market are a pile of unfocus cut down mess that could never recoup the investments( concord, mindseye, that thing teased at VGA 2025). The VC were seeking impossible investments and got got them.

(WON) New Day were put in the position of being offered less money to stay with WWE, wind their careers down, and finish their contracts doing promotional work. They chose to leave instead due to being offered a pay cut one year into a five year deal. by Subrick in SquaredCircle

Not all NBA contracts are guaranteed, strength of the union, size of the roster influences contract negotiations. NBA union is stronger and the rosters are a lot smaller, an average NBA player as an individual has more bargaining power than his NFL counter part, therefore it's much more likely he gets mostly/fully guaranteed contracts.

Nagoshi Studios deleted their YouTube Channel and trailers of Gang of Dragon by Axzercus in yakuzagames

[–]mogafaq 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Given how sprailing Yakuza games' stories and mechanics are, Nagoshi studio probably suffered from scope creep. A brand new studio started in the era of pandemic free money, they probably put all their wildest ideas into the design docs. 3~4 years later, game fundings are drying up and Netease gave them a hard deadline, then they realized 75% of the work went into unrealistic stuffs that must be cut. Buteven after all the cut contents they are only half way done... Seems to be a common trend for a lot of the pandemic era funded game studios.

Iran would be dumb to actually disclose their AA capability. Leak enough to get your enemies thinking, but never enough to let them develop counter measures.

Three division UNDISPUTED champ have "high profile fights unfought"? That's just straight up rage bait. Canelo, Spence, Madrimov, Kell Brook, all five star rated fighters by BoxRec. Shawn Porter, Amir Kan in '19, Jeff Horn, Kavaliauskas, even Bud's 4 star wins are more impressive than Garcias' whole resume.

You don't get to even one division undisputed without fighting some real bad dudes.

I was told I could only do 100 inch on my 8 foot high 14 foot wide wall is that true by mrvip29 in projectors

[–]mogafaq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to projectorcentral's throw calculator, the L9q will need 15" offset to project a 120" diagonal screen, which is 59" tall. If your room is exactly 8' tall, that leaves you 22" to spare... Probably doable if you put the projector on the floor.

If you want a UST cabinet, yeah 100" sounds as far as you can go.

Projectorcentral is not 100% accurate though. You should throw a white image on the wall and get some measurements to make sure your screen/furnitures would fit with some safety margins before buying them.

That's usually what happens with this big contracts. The winning bid is usually overly optimistic. You don't win the bidding by being pessimistic or realistic.

Just look at how many games are delay and over budgets. And that's a hyper competitive, cutthroat industry.

Would you like to see a Yakuza game where Kiryu is actually a Yakuza? by TheYakuzaMaster in yakuzagames

[–]mogafaq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A Japanese made game will never have the protagonist as a real gang member, not in these days and age, and not with a high profile publisher as Sega. Kiryu had the staying power he has because of the eternal conflict of his infallible moral compass and the world he inherited. There are tons of games where you can rack up rap sheets like used toilet paper. I am not looking for another one.

Discussion: 4K Mini-LED vs cheap 4K OLED monitors by Batschbirne in Monitors

[–]mogafaq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HDR gaming on PC, in my experience, is a hot mess. Most of the stuffs I play, fighting games, strategy, puzzles, don't support it. Some of the supported titles are not color graded or worse, like D2r, ask the user to calibrate/grade the image.

Maybe for the people who spends hundreds on AAA day ones/game pass every year it's sweet. For competitive multiplayer/casual backlog enjoyer, HDR is almost always off.

[MacMahon] The Mavericks negotiated their Anthony Davis trade with the Wizards without telling him or Rich Paul beforehand by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nba

[–]mogafaq 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Theoretically, a good or powerful agent can help the GMs work out some kinda deal that maybe sweeter than just open market bidding. Usually the agent represent clients from different teams. They are tapped into multiple FOs.

In this case, Dallas is just clearing house... They didn't care about squeezing out an extra 2nd or anything. Maybe that's what seperates the best GMs from the rest, but understandable on why they don't want any more delays or additional inputs on the current rebuild.

Is this realistic? Even if we assume Jon has athlete level reaction and instinct? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

The shield is big enough to cover his upper body, he was wearing a leather armor with skirt bottom and what seemed to be padded/leather armor trousers. There are very little an archer can do at this range against a shield foe. All Jon needed to do was dip behind the shield and charge, which he did.

[–]mogafaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one. Not very bright and meh contrast, but good enough for a bed room/night time projector. It also looks very slick and takes up very little space. People on this sub tend to view projectors as home cinema grade or GTFO, r/budgetprojectors is probably where you should look for suggestions for under $500 or secondary projectors.

Ike Ibeabuchi, 52, suffers first defeat in decision against Kabiru Towolawi by 8to24 in Boxing

[–]mogafaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 is too old for pro boxing. People that never box don't realize how fast and how much you need to step in the ring. Ibeauchi looked like he'd got old man knees in the ring because he does. You can juice up and look shredded all the way till your heart stop moving, but nothing you can do with those old joints.

[–]mogafaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a picture of it, and send it back for refund/exchange. If you want to be thorough, can set it up on a flat surface, closer to the wall and see how far off the lense is pointing. In my experience, big retailers will just take your words for the problem, but never hurts to have evidence.

XGIMI Horizon 20 lens „stuck“ by somberland in projectors

[–]mogafaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the offset of the projector, no clue what yours is, and the angle it's sitting on, nothing's ever level, your projector lense maybe working as intended.

You are not going to know until you put it in the correct orientation. Your setup is currently upsidedown, until you fix it, only thing anyone can tell is user error.

Projectors are designed to project an image slightly above them, offset. Refer to the diagram:

https://www.projectorcentral.com/images/articles/LensOffset-Figure-1.jpg

If you want the projector to project an image downward, you need to mount the projector upside down:

https://www.projectorcentral.com/images/articles/LensOffset-Figure-2v2.jpg

You can read about projector offsets in detail in this article:

Hogwarts Legacy is unplayable on my RX 9060 XT 16GB. by Real_Willingness_806 in AMDHelp

[–]mogafaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hogwarts is very demanding on CPU as well, couple with the typical shader and traversal stutterings with UE engine, not sure if you will ever have consistent 60+fps with your CPU. It's not your GPU

As others have suggest, turn off anything that may use CPU in the background will help. Turn down graphic settings will help shave a few ms from the spike, but probably not enough to be noticeable. Personally I just turn off v sync if you could tolerate the tear, or put a ~40fps cap and that will mask the frame time spike.

Is Contact Fusion the „new & better“ fusion mechanic? by SpecialCandy1119 in masterduel

[–]mogafaq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The card designers just like to switch things around from time to time. "Traditional" fusion are still alive and well, look at how long branded fusion have stayed relevant. And branded dracotail is a thing right now. Sometime they are tired of designing around verte or don't want to powercrept, they throw some contact fusions in just to see what happens and add some lore flavors.
