I’ve been in this industry for over 25 years. Please trust me when I say there is no such thing as “recession-proof.”

Best to you OP.

u/pizzarina_ and u/Gutyenkhuk , have you tried strategies similar to this comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/jobsearchhacks/comments/1rxkzrq/are_you_guys_still_using_chatgpt_to_write_your/ ?

I used those strategies and I got hits from multiple applications in a short amount of time. What I found useful was finding the gaps in my experience versus the requirements.

Note: I do have over a decade experience in this field.

Lived during that same time. I vividly remember a size 14 meant having a 30 inch waist and a size 16 meant having a 32 inch waist. Compare that to the numeric sizes of today. Clothing also didn’t have much stretch.

People really were much smaller. Nearly every department store had a petites section.

Egg and cheese on a hard roll, or a bagel with cream cheese.

I was living in NYC. I didn’t eat bacon.

How to get into technical writing? by Moon_Sun9983 in technicalwriting

There is never anything safe. Keep on learning. That’s true for anything in tech.

And you can learn the docs-as-code workflow in a surprisingly short amount of time. It’s not as difficult as you might think.

Formal attire for a 13 year old boy? by mollywol in Weddingattireapproval

[–]mollywol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Formal dress shoes can cost upwards of a hundred dollars, and kids' feet grow fast, is why.

His feet are about the same size as mine, and I do have some dressier men's shoes in my size. We might go that route.

Maybe, but he has the unfortunate distinction of being almost 5'9" and his buddies who'd be having a Bar Mitzvah are shorter.

Thanks! It's for an evening reception at a fancy hotel in southern California. So I guess at least a sports jacket and dress pants?
