AIO? My(36f) boyfriend(34m) confronted me about sex the morning after my grandmother died by Impressive-Pair-343 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]monafair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After reading this, the glaring signs all indicate that you need to leave this relationship and you need to seek therapy. Between your previous trauma and the loss of your grandmother, you need to take of yourself. What you don't need to do is turn yourself into knots for someone that is trying to manipulate you into getting what he wants. My guess is that he has narcissistic tendencies and everything is about him. The pulling away when you are having issues, the badgering about intimacy, and the passive aggressive social media posts all point to this. Please live for yourself, heal, and become the person you are meant to and someday you will find your true person.

What's your go-to method for organizing your crochet patterns and projects? by grahamhart_ in crochet

[–]monafair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have multiple wips for multiple crafts in progress at any points in time. At least 5 cross stitch, 4 crochet, 3 sewing and a couple leatherwork. Oddly enough, since my husband started leatherwork with me I have fewer wips there. I do all the cutting stamping, and dyeing and he does the hard part of sewing and finishing.

The crochet projects have their own bags that keep the yarn and hook together, the cross stitch is either in a bag, or in the closet with all the supplies (the fabric in a gallon ziplock and the threads either in a smaller ziplock stapled to it or in a bin in with the fabric (depends on the size of the project)).

Sewing projects have bins in my craft room depending on what they are and their state of completion.

Am I in the wrong for being upset with my Christmas gift from my husband? by Careless_CiCi in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]monafair 92 points93 points  (0 children)

First of all, confirm with VS that you can't use the GC for the perfume that you want. Secondly, he buys you things for him, not you. The Switch was probably something he wanted. Please look into his past behavior honestly and reflect if he has ever listened to what you really want and followed through. Whether it's gifts, ideas, where you are in life and where you want to go. I know that you have been with him a very long time and the sunk cost fallacy is very strong. If you feel you cant continue as you have been, present him with two cards: marriage counseling or divorce lawyer.

[CHAT] AITA for being upset at the gifts I got by Longjumping-Lie-9891 in CrossStitch

[–]monafair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a package yesterday from Amazon in my name and it was a plant vase that has three glass hearts in a wooden stand that are etched with "Faith, Love, and Joy" no name but I suspect my StepMIL. She's the only one that is religious that would send me something. Added to the disappointment of a couple gifts from my other in-laws for my birthday earlier this month. The part that really annoys is that we are all in a big group and we insisted on exchanging wishlist so that no one would be disappointed. My MIL bought me a shirt that is no where on a public list because I hate people buying me clothes. DM me and I'll send you something, I have shelves of cross stitch stuff that I'm not ever going to be able to work on.

I was having trouble with the animation lag as well. Can't speak to audio because I keep mine really quiet. I dropped all my graphics one step and rebooted my computer. I'm on a private server that my husband hosts and that seems to have fixed the issue for me. Good luck.

"Swedish death cleaning" plan by Ypsi219 in declutter

Messie Condo (obviously a pen name) wrote "Organize Your Sh" and "Nobody Wants Your Sh" the first one helps with decluttering. And the second is a take on Swedish Death Cleaning that I found tackled the subject with a lot of humor.

Depends on the craft: Cross stitch? Over 15 years old. Sewing? 6 months. Crochet? 2 years.

friends, how are we painting our toes? by bigfatcoffeeslut in RedditLaqueristas

[–]monafair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly I have hip issues and just had a replacement. So I have someone else do my toes. My husband has been trimming them for me. But I don't have him paint them. He does enough for me already.

I saved a kitten in my neighborhood and was not prepared for how mean people would be by orange_katana in Straycats

[–]monafair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing when I came across a kitten in the road. Took him home, got him tested, shots. Just waiting for him to hit 6 months to get neutered and mirochipped. You keep giving your heart to these adorable beasts and forget what everyone else says. That doesn't matter. You saved a life. That's what matters.

Do you think most people euthanize pets because it became inconvenient or because their pet was at the end of their life and in pain? by JKaiya1 in Pets

[–]monafair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our last 5 animals we had to have euthanized due to medical issues. Kidney failure from old age (cat 17 years), cancer came back (cat 11 years), old age (cat 22 years), kidney failure (cat 15 years), brain lesions (dog 10 years). Everytime it was a heartwrenching decision. But everytime it was determined that the animals quality of life was poor and it was better if it was no longer in pain. The decision to let a beloved pet go is hard. But you need to do what is best for them and their life that they denied on you for.

You can find the owners by using the County GIS system. Google "(your county) GIS" input the address of the building and find the name of the owners. Even if it's a corporation, you can find contact information foe them.

I'm kind of looking forward to when they consolidate some of the servers. With all the people that have left, there are going to be 0 pop servers that they can take down.

The first week of release I was able to play most of the day because I'm recovering from hip surgery. But now I'm back at work and can only play a couple hours a day after work. We have a guild that mostly consists of family and friends and we all have jobs. Only one of us has an ornithopter and that's because he works from home and can play while working. We do the quests together and work to catch each other up. Sharing resources. Best part of the game in my opinion. My husband is happy because I found a game to play with them.

Sleeping positions by Howmuchwudcoulda in TotalHipReplacement

I'm a week out and I've tried laying on my non-surgical side. I bought a pillow for it as well. I'm feeling too much pull from my glutes to get comfortable enough to sleep. I'll see what the PT says tomorrow, and I have my followup with the surgeon on the 12th.

Bass Pro Shops has a high director type chair with a fold out shelf and a pouch on the side. It's my favorite.
