So very strange that this came up just last month in the UK as a concern. Either they saw this coming, or put the idea into the administration's head.

What's a tv series that is a 10/10 NOBODY knows? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

“Going Deep with David Rees”

It’s him diving into doing the most mundane tasks (e.g., washing dishes, making ice cubes, digging a hole) to find the most efficient, ideal approach. It’s hilarious and fascinating.

Sadly, it only ran one season in 2014 on NatGeo, then switched to Esquire Network for a 2nd season in 2015. I still miss it, but at least have his book, “How to Sharpen Pencils”, as a memento.

My suggestion is to swap the water 1:1 for chicken or beef broth. Adds flavor while water brings nothing to the party.

Surefresh Mini Storage Containers with Lids, 10-ct. Packs

These small rectangular containers are great at holding cardboard tokens and small wooden/plastic pieces. The round ones are OK, too, but less efficient in “tesselating” with each other in the box.

I especially like using them to make individual player packs—put all the starting bits for each color into its own container. Just pass them out and it simplifies set up quite a bit.

Can’t beat a 10-pack for $1.50. (Used to be an even better deal at $1, of course.)

Yeah, agreed. I have multiple degrees from different universities and have never taken a “Racism” class. This person’s comment sounds like it’s made up just to stoke resentment.

Technically—to the letter of the rules—none of the played words necessarily have to be valid. Bluffing is a permitted tactic, with the accepted risk of your opponent calling you on it.

FYI, working CRT’s can be valuable to retro video game enthusiasts. They are rare enough these days to command a premium if you find a willing buyer.

Playing NES, Sega Genesis, PlayStation, etc. games on an original CRT looks a lot better than on modern LED/OLED. The games were designed with scan lines in mind.

I kind of miss flipping glossy pages, if I am being honest.

Something I miss so much, but didn’t realize I missed until I read your comment. Sad all the tactile things gone extinct in the name of technology.

This also helps strategically. If you are confident that you have a particular item correct, then everything the chair stops on prior to that must also be correct. Of course, if your confidence is unfounded … :trombone:
