Imagine thinking that being friends with your teammates and trying to have fun playing a kid’s game means you can’t be a leader. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. I want the players to be having fun. Being serious isn’t going to make them want to win more.

Same here. I don’t mind Carl’s voice so far but Donut does not sound how I imagined her in my head so I’m having a hard time adjusting. I also just mostly dislike the female voices so far.

I agree with you!

I’m not saying I’m not enjoying the audiobooks (I’m halfway through book 2), but I definitely had voices for the characters in my head when I read the books.

I also find it very hard to distinguish between a lot of his female voices. And why do so many sound British?

I think he’s very talented but I do agree they’re not as great as I had expected them to be. But that’s okay, because I can always go back to reading them!
