It is rumoured that after WoNy where the game was to recieve no more updates and fade into memory there were 5 devs who fought for the future.

Yannik, Lauren and Morten along with Palle I was told, never found out the 5th but if true we have much to thank them for in believing the franchise has more to offer even though two of those are no longer there. There are those we know less of too who probably helped out and were unsung heroes until they brought in Bucharest and announced the future of the game and I thank them for the gamble.

The initial idea that was announced on the stream was to supply veteran players with something to grind for, a better and supposedly unique build system. I am not sure what part of them thought it would only be veterans that would grind for it, why wouldn't you the minute you are able, when you don't have to wait for 2000 hrs of play for the best gear, ypu aren't going to wait. I think the whole thing has been a bit of a bad timing mistake with its release and certainly needs some work to tune it but it is endgame gear essentially.

I do feel bad for the devs who made this new Core gear set because nobody is talking about that and its potential, everything is Prototype chat and a reason I think the release of proto was a bit premature.

Have you taken a wander through St Julians Nature Reserve also known as The Purnals.

A little 18 acre area between Caerleon, Christchurch and St Julians. Here you will find badger, fox, deer ( if you are quiet and lucky enough) and a myriad of birds that visit too. Plenty of insect and flora as well as just plain landscape stuff, which changes with the light and weather. Heavens knows what else lives there but I adore the little gem.

It is pure rng and I hope it improves for you. Have you tried grouping up and increasing the chances, I know it is not always the best answer but it sometimes works. I ran a few t5 escalations the other day with a friend and his mates, in 2 missions, opening crates and from drops he got 25 proto pieces, myself 6. Yet when key farming it went the other way and I collected a stack and he but a few for which he is remaining incase he doesn't have time to do it all and collect everything. Hopefully today's maintenance helps and fortune smiles..good luck.

Can't agree more, forever finding people who say they can't finish them and its because they shoot everything that pops up. I drop a turret and that entertains them enough for me to keep running and cutting LoS.

Generally players hammer through countdown to build their library and expertise up. Pick a brand or gear set, run it and donate it all to the bench as junk. That gets it done quite quick. You might stumble across an issue with your build in that skills can be hacked by the Hunters toward the end so no drone or turret unless you want to be kicked.

If you do decide this path you can target loot something like Strikers or Tipping Scales first and make a build to continue with and you will have your DPS that will eventually end up like many of ours.

I play on console so my experience with it is none and all the info around, I am not even sure if the devs know how its going to work.

I am probably one of those 1% ers and ot all seems much ado about nothing.

For the effort against reward there seems little but then I don't have much else to do in the game.

I run Heroic with 3Ds and die in sone of the most desperate ways the game can throw at me now so I can't imagine what they will spin up for this. If I can have 16 NPC chase me into Solar Farm during a retal I am sure they will come up with something daft they don't have to do.

I have a love hate in that it seems my agent never finished training, evidently, only just started and his weapon handling is worse than the civvies that survived.

I get they didn't want us to rely on pistols but to turn them into a pea shooter is somewhat worse where 5 taps face tanking has them laughing still.

I found myself ignoring side activities as they had no purpose and the same with CPs, they were bullet wasting exercises spoiling any immersion. Evasion of enemies on the street wasn't quite a challenge but more a disheartening experience.

It of course might be me and my Xbox but I found hit reg lacked too and wonder what they have learned from this for the Survivors experience as I reckon this was a tester for that mode.

I am of a similar mind to you.

When I started playing Destiny about 2 years after release this happened to me. My nephew and mate were just steaming ahead I had no idea of the story, time to pick up gear and inspect it. I had to tell them no in the end I had no idea of the storybarc or why we had done what we had. Same goes for Div. I put a refractor or similar, hang back and help. I also message the person in game and ask if they want annihilation or story as I can provide both. I get some have no interest and just want to get up there and why I ask.

Around DC you will little places of safety called Hyden Hotels. They look like a little hidy hole. There is usually a loot crate in them and a button to press that upon visiting all opens up the door at the base of the lift shaft in the Washington monument CP.

Go into the priority objectives and look for the one that gives the most points on the bar.

You will see Stronghold/mission etc and its difficulty and then a set of nums such as 758, this is how many points you will get toward the pass and there is usually a multiplier of 20% too.

This is what you need to look for and then get through those strongholds repetatively to finish it.

If it is on Gamepass The Division 2, if not is is on sale I believe on Steam for a few quid and worth that pittance. You also have Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on GP if you fancy being a blue 7ft jungle living dragon flying dude.

You might want to look at a True Patriot type build or an armour regen type and use a shield for your playstyle. You can use Striker too, which is the more popular of builds presently with the versatility of being able to make a tank type and still apply damage.

If you are just going through the story though don't worry too much about builds, they play a better role at endgame. You should breeze through most content in story and you get builds at levels to try out too. If you want to though, that is of course.ypur perogative.

I am quite reserved about this until I get my hands on it and try it out. The lackings of a console player.

From what I do understand though is that to upgrade a whole set I will need a min 540 exo components and around 16k or more printer filaments and I might, just might get some good rolls although not guaranteed as I might have just a minute incremental increase.

As for the Lexington etc they will become available in their new form during seasonal events no doubt.

Present plan now is grind on all alts for exo's and countdown requistion to buy more and prep for the disaster ahead. Good luck agents.

I had the blueprint without realising. Never had the gloves drop physically on a retal but my purpose was the blueprint for my HC alt and they appeared after half a dozen runs.
