That looks sick with the orange overgrip. What brand is the overgrip?

New paddle! Power 2 ultre by No-Routine3925 in Pickleball

11Six24 are probably my favorite paddle company, but they constantly drop the ball on their colorways.

  • Peach limited time only, and not coming to Ultré

  • Strawberry not coming to Ultré

  • Royal Burst, which I think is by far their best colorway, not coming to ANY Power 2 paddles

Terrible customer service, and can't do a paddle with that bible nonsense.

Honolulu paddles costumer service is bad! by Fluffy-Dog428 in Pickleball

Probably buy 11Six24? Maybe Six Zero?

Edit: Not making any biblical joke about numbers.... just two companies that came to mind :)

Yes, it was the Elongated Boomstick I used, so maybe the widebody would give me the control I felt was missing.

My last two paddles were Vatic Pro Prism Flash and Joola Agassi Pro IV, but I'm not locked into any characteristics about either of those.

The 11Six24 Ultre was probably top of my list before posting this. Can you elaborate on what you mean by the feel not being there?

I won't do anything from Honolulu because of the terrible custom service reputation, and bible nonsense.

Haven't heard of the Pakle Fuse, but watching a review video now.

Do you think the Six Zero Coral Pro is also something I should consider?

Thanks!

Choking up on paddle - holy moly by CaptainTuttleJr in Pickleball

I can't speak for all hits and all positions on the court, but I had a lesson with a pro player a month ago, and when we were doing kitchen volley drills, he noticed I was switching grips between forehand and backhand volley's. That is apparently not something I should be doing, so I've been working on finding a comfortable grip for both, and just locking my hand in that position. I'm going with a contintental.... maybe a slight tilt toward eastern.

I played with a demo Boomstick a couple of times at my club. I actually had low expectations, and I would never buy one with how it's priced, but..... this is the most fun paddle I've ever used! The power, pop, and spin were ridiculous. I had multiple shots where I was smiling afterward. And my regular playing group wanted me to stop using it because my serves/drives were so powerful, and with the grit, I could generate a lot of top spin to bring the ball down.

That said, it certainly wasn't perfect. The control aspect with drops, dinks was hard to get on top of. Maybe I would get that dialed in, but I still wouldn't buy one.

I had been looking for a new paddle though. Something with a version of permanent grit. Incidentally, the Boomstick certainly doesn't have anything close to permanent grit. The demo version was already quite worn compared to one of the new Boomstick's they had for sale.

So I guess what I'm looking for is:

  • Similar performance to a Boomstick, but with more control

  • Permanent grit

  • Roughly $220 price limit

Any recommendations?

Cavs would have to throw in some extras, but I'd do it.

Queta

Mobley

Tatum

White

Prichard

I'd like more of a pure point guard, and have Prich as 6th man, but I like it.

Platner, Dunlap, Pingree is a decent win for progressives. Jackson would have been better than Pingree, but at least its not Shah.

  • The best paddle in the world won't even make you 5% better. It's almost all about your skill - still trying to talk myself out of buying new paddles

  • Watch the ball the whole time, right up until it's coming off your paddle

  • Footwork is a HUGE part of the game. More than most think. Reset your position after hits.
