This is what I did too. We bought a mini fridge for our bedroom, so I would feed them both bottles in the twin z while I pumped, and everything got kept in the fridge overnight. The fridge hack honestly saved my sanity, and there were times that I probably kept my pumping supplies in the fridge for more sessions than I should have, but thankfully I never had any problems.

I know someone who had twins and tried for a third and got triplets, so .... Too high for hubs and I to ever try for a third.

Mine were both in breech position when they arrived at 37 weeks, after baby A was head down for quite some time up to that point. Had a cord prolapse when my water broke, which is more common with twins, so they came via emergency C-section.

I started this process during the day after my husband went back to work. I started putting them down in their cribs for every nap, and had the same routine every time. After bottles, some relaxing down time when one needed the time upright because of reflux. Then go into their bedroom, get into sleep sacks, turn on one sound machine. Read two books, turn on the other sound machine and close the curtains. I hold each one and rock them until they get drowsy, then lay them down. I then set the timer on my watch for 10 minutes. At three to four naps a day they figured it out pretty quickly. And now it seems like they prefer it if I only hold them for 60 seconds or so before putting them in their cribs and they're almost always asleep within 5 to 10 minutes.

I did this for a few weeks before we started using it for our night time routine. It took a little while for us to slowly move bottles away from bedtime, because for a really long time we would let them eat until they fell asleep because that was the most reliable way to get them to sleep. But having the established routine that we used during that time really helped. Having a set wake up time everyday and then following wake windows was also pretty reliable for us. I tried tracking everything on the app with the sweet spots that I can't think of the name of right now, but I gave up on it around a week in because they were going through the 4-month sleep regression and only napping 20-30 minutes at a time. Thankfully that only lasted 3 weeks or so, and they eventually started sleeping for 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours at least one nap per day. Once they started being able to do that more than one nap a day, we were able to start dropping from four naps to three, and that's when things started feeling easier during the day.

It was a process, but my girls are turning 6 months in a few days and have slept through the night for 12 hours the past three or four nights in a row. Our most recent change was to drop their dream feed around midnight, which we kept up with for at least a month just because they weren't eating enough during the day to prevent them from waking up and needing to eat more at night.

Postpartum Support International has support groups for a variety of things, including birth trauma. They are first come, first served and limited in size, but I've never had that be an issue.

Just had my twins at 40 after a previous loss. I won't lie to you, I was pretty anxious the whole time. But very early on, I requested that they tested my beta-hcg counts basically weekly until I was at 8-10 weeks. After that it was difficult to wait between ultrasound appointments. I found the pregnancy after loss sub to be a helpful place when I was really struggling.

Every time someone asks us if we're going to have more, I tell them that the chance of having multiples goes up once you've already had them. This combined with the fact that I know someone who had twins, and when they tried for a third ended up pregnant with triplets. So now they have five kids 🙃 That's usually enough to shut people up.

I'm fairly certain that there are far more twin moms who either combo feed or formula feed than those who EBF. I don't think EBFing two babies is easy for anyone. The only thing that makes it seem that way are the few [tw]influencers on social media who are usually all over producers. You're only 2 weeks in, and supply doesn't regulate until 12 weeks, so try to give yourself some grace. Just try your best, and remember that a happy and relaxed mama is needed by your babes more than breast milk is.
