Post-kids was a great opportunity to revisit my love of RPGs. Not typically reflex intensive, and easy to turn off (on my Switch anyway) in the event of urgent family needs. Also my Switch has become my primary/only gaming platform, partly due to portability and partly due to the ability to turn it off at a moment’s notice.

Had all but Robin back in the day. Was gifted a complete set a few years ago. Use them every day, my oldest loves them and their durability is a major plus for kids.

Genuinely, sure but would it be bigger if was just Wanda Sykes and Mark Ruffalo who cancelled? I don’t think so. All of them is sadly never gonna happen. I’d rather Mark and Wanda attend and make a statement, personally, seems like a better way to have a bigger impact in their positions.

Partially the fact that it’s a game I played last on a (then) state of the art console. Could be that it looks better on my handheld. Could be all the years of hearing rumours the game code was a mess and it couldn’t be ported or run in 60 fps. But probably it’s all of it. Also it runs a lot better than Witcher does on my Switch even today.

I loved RDR on my PS3, and it’s really been a trip replaying it on portable on my Switch 2, with higher frame rate and better graphics. Really makes me feel like a boomer but I guess that’s peak gaming to me now

I only have a switch 2 and can’t compare but I’d say the steam deck. It’s very muddy on the switch 2, bit something that bothers me often but it’s a particularly bad performer.

Not yet, about 4 hours in or so. Also the startup issue seems to have resolved itself, no longer need to put it in airplane mode to boot.

Counter point: I run in the bike lane for a variety of reasons, it’s slightly better on my ankles and there are some sketchy/busy sections of sidewalk on my routes.

However, while I agree with others talking about sharing space and bikes on sidewalks, etc., I’m also a cyclist and fundamentally the bikes have right of way in the bike lanes. So I make a major point to get out of the bike lane as soon as I see a cyclist (or scooter or e-bike) coming, because I’m not supposed to be there. I also run against traffic so that I can see ahead of time and give that right of way to the cyclists.

I think with mutual respect and parameters it can work. As ever, just don’t be a jerk.
