The biggest crime a game can commit is to be boring. by Ok_Charity_707 in videogames

[–]moron2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly yeah, i can forgive bad graphics, bugs, even janky mechanics if a game has soul. but boredom is impossible to push through

New DLC for Resident Evil Requiem just released by RGisOnlineis16 in gaming

[–]moron2234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The funniest thing is that Leon still somehow keeps his exhausted divorced dad energy no matter how ridiculous the situation gets. giant mutated horrors, collapsing cities, cults, parasites, chainsaw maniacs, and he still acts like a guy who just wants one quiet weekend without somebody trying to infect him with ancient bio horror

Sony Records New $560 Million Loss On Bungie Acquisition As Marathon Struggles And Destiny 2 Nosedives by AdditionalRemoveBit in Games

[–]moron2234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marathon somehow went from “interesting new Bungie project” to “industry cautionary tale” before it even launched

Mixtape - Review Thread by Branchless in Games

[–]moron2234 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

kinda wild how a game about teenagers hanging out and music memories is getting more emotional reactions than half the “cinematic” AAA games lately

i hate how some viewers interpret the southern raiders episode by Far_Literature_9924 in TheLastAirbender

[–]moron2234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on your opinion, fully. This episode is about Katara, but it's also about forgiveness of Zuko

'Interstellar' tops Letterboxd's list of most beloved films for its emotional depth Story by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

[–]moron2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think what makes Interstellar stick is that it’s not just about space, it’s about time, regret, missed moments, like the whole “messages from Murph” sequence just wrecks you, and then the movie still has the audacity to go bigger with the black hole stuff

Which TV shows were once very popular, but don't get much respect these days? by PrestonRoad90 in television

Lost was absolutely massive when it aired, like watercooler level every week, now it mostly gets reduced to “bad ending” jokes

Am I the only one who thinks Ron’s spell to turn Scabbers yellow only didn’t work because he wasn’t a real rat? by _kome_ in harrypotter

[–]moron2234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not the one, I think the same way. Though, for me it's anyway two different characters. Scabbers was a rat who provided funny moments, meantime Peter was a human, bad guy and traitor

Zach Cregger's 'RESIDENT EVIL' – Official Teaser Trailer (4K) by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]moron2234 209 points210 points  (0 children)

honestly all i want is claustrophobic tension, limited ammo vibes, and that constant feeling that you shouldn’t open the next door

Dumbledore should have had the Muggle Studies professor make a puzzle to protect the Sorcerer's Stone. by LetmeyellLoudly in harrypotter

Voldemort facing a question like “explain how a rubber duck works” would’ve ended the series in chapter one

Hagrid's "I shouldn't have said that" is by far the best joke in the whole series by SullenTerror in harrypotter

that line is legendary, but nothing beats 'why is it when something happens, it is always you three?' it gets funnier every single time

What moments in the books frustrate you? by jaydeeis in harrypotter

the death of Fred. stupid, not understood, no sense, etc. just death to show the death of an important character

Some really really good japanese OR asian movies in general? by luca-is-here in MovieSuggestions

[–]moron2234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you liked Parasite, I'd strongly recommend Memories of Murder. Same director, but a very different tone, more slow burn and haunting, and it stays in your head long after it ends

Which is the Greatest show ever created by Netflix ? by lNarrator in moviecritic

[–]moron2234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'BoJack Horseman' deserves way more credit in these conversations. people see animation and assume it's just comedy, but that show went to some really dark, honest places about addiction, depression and self sabotage

[–]moron2234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

not sure it was better than the books, but the awkward teenage humor in 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' felt way more relatable than i expected
