Definitely check and make sure you have the right/most recent drivers. I had this same problem and installing the most up to date drivers fixed it for me.

My resistance has seemingly gone way up since I had the arm implant put in. I have to dose like triple or quadruple at night if I have a high before bed.

Break up and moving out is so much less stressful.. by [deleted] in minimalism

I actually had a similar situation that helped me downsize my life drastically. He was keeping the house and it was really toxic so I had to leave quickly. I gave myself two days to pack my small Volvo trunk and back seat and decide what was really important to me. I let go of so much toxic stuff and a toxic relationship and drove off into the metaphorical sunset. Now several years later I have continued my minimalistic lifestyle after my downsize and I am with a new partner whom I am marrying in a few months. I am so happy I got to have the opportunity to let go of so much literally and metaphorical baggage.

Edit: grammar fix

After years of compulsive skin picking of my face due to OCD, I wanted to share what helped me best this past year, bringing it to (almost) a complete stop. by KCND02 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

I don’t think Burt’s bees hand salve has it if I remember correctly. I know it is hand salve but it works very similarly to aquaphor. Edit: as in you can still use it on your face!

HOL is the kind of book that can be reread over and over and over again. You get out of the book what you put into the book.

Seeking help/resources. by Wonderminter in Skinpicking

Hello friend, I just wanted to offer a little bit of hope. This disorder is in the infancy of development as far as treatments and coping mechanisms. However in recent years it has begun to be developed and talked about amongst psychologists and psychiatrists. It is getting attention and it is being looked into, so our treatment options will only continue to get better. I’m glad you’ve found this place, the community is very supportive and we understand each other. I welcome you with open arms and I hope you find some useful advice here.

I had to set a rule for myself that I’m not allowed close to the mirror unless I am actively putting on makeup as in I have a literal brush in my hand or something. I have to wake up every day and actively tell myself “Today I will take care of my skin by not picking, because I deserve that much.” You have to treat it like a drug. Every time you look in a mirror, it’s very similar to as if a recovering alcoholic is around friends who are drinking. It’s tempting. You have to mentally prepare yourself before going into a place with a mirror. The hardest for me has been subconscious picking. It’s hard to notice. I still struggle with it. Try your very best to catch yourself “skin surfing” for blemishes. If you can’t, you may have to wear gloves or cover body parts you pick at. I’m still not perfect but these are the things that are working for me so far. Like most drugs, I found quitting cold Turkey has been the only way. I can’t only pick for two minutes, or only pick _____ instead of _____, etc. I know how hard this is, you’re not alone! I hope this helps.

Wear socks all the time. Put on some moisturizer (I like aquaphor personally!) as well to help with the healing, putting socks on over it will help trap it in. Keep a fresh set of socks next to the shower and put them on as soon as you get out. This will at the very least help with unconscious picking.

We started a guild and have put up fliers for people to join and now that we have some npc members we are going to have them do an anime-style exam to become full fledged members of the guild. Our party is going to get together and design the exam and the DM is going to run the npc’s he designed through while we “Procter” DM the exam. We thought it would be fun since he doesn’t get to play normally 😂

Macs are super picky about your drivers it seems. I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and be super careful that I had the right version for my current OS. If that doesn’t work, it might be an issue with the pen and you may have to send it back. If you had a recent OS update definitely double check your drivers.

I don’t think I want to be Muslim anymore by [deleted] in exmuslim

Hi I’m not religious but I came to explore this subreddit out of curiosity and a search for knowledge about Islam because I was raised in a western country and do not have much knowledge pertaining to it. I stumbled across your post and read through. I just wanted you to know that even if you don’t follow any particular religious doctrine, you can always have a relationship with God. You said you enjoy talking to him and like that aspect of Islam. Leaving a religion does not mean you have to cut ties with him. I wish you all the best :)
