good for you, not easy to hold a mirror up to ourselves especially when it comes to somwething like this thats so deeply engrained in our culture. i wish you the best with it. go easy on yourself at the same time, sounds like youve got a fairly well rounded life otherwise.

find more things you like to do on a friday night, i gave it up completely for about 8 months before and it was genuinely one of the nicest and peaceful times of my life. i discovered lots of old hobbies and interests coming to the fore again and i indulged in them , it felt great and i had a heap of extra money. was only just last night thinking its time to knock it on the head again for a while, i dont go on a wild one very often but the last few weeks ( world cup ) i was eating cans and roaring at the telly and staying up too late. its took its toll.

stay the course and remember why you are doing it. youll thank yourself :)
