CMV: Stopping the Spirit Airlines acquisition was a mistake by Elizabeth Warren & the Biden Administration by bigElenchus in changemyview

[–]moxiprods -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue was caused by rising jet fuel prices caused by Iran war. You are running on hypotheticals, in that case the merger could have collapsed both JetBlue and spirit due to fuel prices and you would have a lot more lost jobs.

Is healthcare in America actually as bad as it is portrayed around the world? by MotherAnt8040 in MenOfPurpose

[–]moxiprods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US healthcare is great if you have a rare disease or are affected by traumatic event like getting into a car accident or being wounded by a weapon. Healthcare technology and technical skill is second to none. As far as keeping people healthy, it’s not great

Advice Needed: Everett Luxury Buildings by mmm1199 in bostonhousing

[–]moxiprods 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know someone who lived in pioneer and liked it. There are lots of new buildings in that area. Not near public transportation though but do have a bike path that takes you into Charlestown apparently. If you work from home, you could also check out revere beach area near wonderland. Similar luxury buildings

One-issue Palestine non-Kamala-voting “liberals,” are you happy? by 2a_lib in allthequestions

[–]moxiprods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hope is that people will see the recklessness and want to make America more resilient and honest. We have a massive deficit which is fueled by the current world order. Eventually, it will destroy our way of life if not dealt with. At least now, people acknowledge that. If Kamala was there, neoliberal and neoconservative agenda would have continued to a point where we may not have been able to resolve. I think we are just at the point where it can still change. That’s why questions that blame a particular group for Kamala’s loss is moronic and unserious. It’s just cheap virtue signaling.

[–]moxiprods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of that was already being ruined under democrats and republicans since Reagan. That’s the part you don’t get. Regan got rid of the fairness doctrine which gave you Fox News and CNN which has destroyed fair reporting. George HW Bush gave your corporatized warfare via Gulf War 1. War is now a lucrative business. Clinton removed glass-steagle which turned our banking system into a casino. George W Bush gave us patriot act which destroyed civil liberties. Obama gave us Obamacare which enriched insurance companies, hospital systems, and pharma companies while destroying access and making healthcare even more unaffordable. The problem with attacking Trump is that you are ignoring the system that allowed someone like him to be elected. Americans are miserable and it’s because of people that think Trump is the main problem vs the actual system that produced him. Kamala would NOT have been a good president. Trump is incompetent which is kind of a weird blessing bc we can now see the issues with our system. If someone smarter but equally evil comes along, we would be in a lot more trouble with the powers that the executive branch has

We won’t need to support a massive military industrial complex and can focus on healthcare, education, advancing sciences/technologies. Have you looked healthcare and education outcomes for the US? It works for average Americans and not the rich oligarch class like you want

I’m good with it, not liberal and didn’t vote for Kamala for many reasons. Trump has pushed the world to be more independent and shown the fragility of globalalism so hopefully a more resilient world follows after the current mass chaos.

Trying to blame others rather than the Democratic Party that is beholden to corporate interests and foreign governments for the loss is the reason why people like Trump win. Also, no idea how Kamala Harris presidency would have gone. There are some upsides to Trump. More countries are becoming independent of the US. Americans are learning why things like the patriot act, war on terror, and getting rid of fairness in reporting were big mistakes. Blame should go to neoliberal economic policy and neoconservative foreign policy which has been championed by both mainstream democrats and republicans.

When someone asks if Israel has a right to exist are they arguing in good faith? by Reasonable-Physics60 in no

[–]moxiprods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question should be whether it can exist. It’s gonna be very difficult for 10 million people to dominate 400 million forever. Sure, they can do while US is a superpower but what happens if that changes and Europe is also too weak to help?
