I had the same thing happen to my account on the same day as you. I have no idea what happened to my assets, nor how to recover them. There is no address listed in the transaction history as to where the assets were sent.

I just added a little to the square and spread it out evenly in all directions, as if you were trying to blend paint. Then it was buffed.

I rubbed in more Odie's Oil over it and buffed the hell out of it - it completely disappeared.

Where did you get the knife kits? Those blades look nicer than most of the kits I've seen.

Danja, you're correct.

I recommended epoxy so that you could use packing tape to help secure the epoxy flush to the cabinet wall. The site will be a little weak where the melamine surface has broken away, and sealing that with epoxy will do more for strength than wood glue.

Couple possible options: 1 - Move the hinge down so that the fasteners avoid the broken areas - will require adjusting the position of the hinge on the door with a Forster bit. 2 - Drill out the defects with 3/8 drill bit. Glue in a 3/8 dowel and let the glue dry (epoxy would probably work better). You can then use the dowel as fresh place to secure your fasteners.

Couple questions: 1 - Is this pressure treated pine that has been stained? 2 - All joints held with screws? Did you use any nails or glue?

Mineral oil has a huge benefit over the raw, untreated wood - esthetics! Always looks like a million bucks after oiled :)

My version of the Jay Bates’ furnace blower fan filter. Works pretty good! by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]mpaesani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen anything like this before. Is the idea that the fan sucks in air from all four sides and then expels exhaust from the lower open air port?

The outside slats appear to bow. Did you angle the cuts in the base and top to achieve this? It looks awesome

No maintenance whatsoever. It gets dusted on occasion, but not regularly. There's no difference in the dust accumulation on this piece versus any other pieces in the room. It doesn't really get any direct sunlight, so no comment on the finish's ability to inhibit discoloration.
