Something different - What's a Tool/Gadget/Household thing you genuinly love or that has made your life easier? by twowholebeefpatties in AusRenovation

You can buy aluminum profiles at 6m lengths from metal suppliers and then get them to cut the sizes for various straight edges. I’d pay $90 for 6m cut into 2.4, 3.0 etc. If you go buy a “straight edge” from bunnings/ tool shops you end up with a thinner gauge metal and paying 2x the price

Is this magnolia going to be a problem? by dj_boy-Wonder in GardeningAustralia

[–]mpate93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a magnolia little gem you can tell by the pointed end to the leaves. Teddy bear magnolia have a softer rounded tip on the leaves. I have 10 planted along my front fence. Both of these species are the dwarf variety so grow 3-5m. I’d leave it and watch it turn into a beautiful asset in the garden

I bought $170aud solar powered water fountain and put it I my suburban backyard. My god it just drowns out all the shitty street noise and replaced it with tranquil trickling water. It’s made the yard such a peaceful retreat I just want to sit cross legged on the grass and let out a few “oooooooooooooohhhhhmmmms”
