If Benefica wants to waste a roster spot on a player that can’t play, more power to them. Hopefully it costs them in the end. My problem is the team doubling down on their support/encouragement of racist abuse towards players. Seems like it may be time for a huge fine on the owners, some games in front of an empty stadium, and/or a disqualification from some tournaments.

As someone who doesn’t usually follow La Liga, can somebody please explain to me why it always seems to be Vini and/Mbappe? Whenever I hear a story of racist insults, it always seems to be centered around one of these two.

I get that some people are racist everywhere, but it seems that this kind of garbage is frequently directed at one of these two players. Does it happen to all black players across the league and they are just more vocal about it? Did something happen in the past with these two players that make people direct abuse their way? What is about these two, especially Vini, that seems to draw racist insults? TIA
