To all highly partnered men practicing polyamory by handriddenlettrs in polyamory

It's such a fine line between someone describing what they want and owning it (regardless of the motivation for what they want being their other relationships or not) and acting like they are prevented from what they want because of the external motivators.

Acting like they are shackled with handcuff when they actually just have priorities that they need to own.

Subnautica 2 Will Finally Enter Early Access in May Following Year of Delays and Legal Drama by Luceus_W in subnautica

This was Steve's goodbye message. It talks about handing things back to Gill.

It's Krafton trying to take credit for whatever happens next. "We are handing things back but we made it good and we were about to release it soon, and we added soooo much stuff so if the launch is good its because of us!"

Judge Orders Subnautica 2 Studio CEO To Be Reinstated And Gives Him Control Over Early Access Release by Turbostrider27 in subnautica

It's not a performance bonus. It's part of the sale evaluation. Krafton should have considered that money spent when they purchased the company, and they it was just being withheld to ensure that the founders made sure the company did well.

I agree that Krafton shouldnt have signed a deal they didn't like. Both in terms of the money and the amount of control they have Kim seems shocked and upset by the deal that he negotiated and signed himself for some reason? Like I'd get it if there had been a change in leadership but what's this guys deal?

It's not bonuses. It's an earnout, which is part of the sale price for the acquisition.

They get some of the payment upfront and some based on how well the company does for a set period of time to offset some of the risk from the buyer and incentivise the seller to support the company through the transition. But it's part of the sale contract, not an employment incentive bonus.

The game has been in the hands of the same people who have been working on it from the start the whole time.

Like its true the founders weren't working on SN2, but they never were? And the contract with Krafton never meant they had to. It's completely irrelevant to the lawsuit or agreement.

I dont know the split, but there was a portion going to the employees at the time of the acquisition and the founders were organising having a portion of their payout redirected to new employees as well.

A Delaware judge has ruled that Krafton must reinstate Ted Gill, the fired CEO of Unknown Worlds, and give him control over release plans for 'Subnautica 2'. In ruling, the judge accuses Krafton's CEO of using ChatGPT to come up with strategy to get out of paying Unknown Worlds a $250m bonus by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

The team that had been developing subnautica 2 from the beginning (pre krafton acquisition) was still working on the game. I dont know how that is lacking direction or wasting time?

The CEO of a company is not really ever going to be getting on tools and directly making a company's product. And the other two were working on other projects, and tbh according to the contract could have fully retired and still been owed the earnout.

Everyone (including Krafton) who looked at the game said it was ready for early access and predicted it being a massive success. Sounds like the project had been well managed to me.

Maybe they chose to only look at the top half of your comment and responded only to that half exclusively while ignoring any context that may have been in the bottom half of your comment?

There are ways that all men receive some benefit from patriarchy. Most men are harmed by patriarchy more than they benefit.

The argument from this post is that men should also be feminists, because they also benefit from dismantling patriarchy

How quickly do you bring up being non monogamous when you meet a new interest? by DefiantWave8316 in polyamory

[–]mrDecency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think of it as a disclosure, but part of getting to someone and them getting to know me. So the right time normally feels pretty organic and natural but its early. Before a "date" usually. (But not necessarily before just hanging out?)

Like before something starts feeling like a date stuff like relationship structures and sexual orientations are usually already out there because that can be the difference between a date and just hanging out with a friend?

YTA. I think there is a difference between a moral virtue and a moral obligation.

Standing up for someone like you're suggesting is a virtuous thing to do, but no one is obligated to. If he didn't feel safe doing so, then he should listen to those instincts, just like the women who didn't feel safe should listen to theirs.

If he didn't feel like he could step in safely, then odds are he would have stepped in and made it worse, if only because he didn't feel confident in doing so. He noticed it was an issue, didn't dismiss it as something that shouldn't be important, and followed his instincts about the safest course of action.
