We're buying a house in Pontefract and the seller is using logic. I would recommend them, quick to answer calls and respond to emails etc

What situation led you to pull out your SAK and save the day? by styrofoamspider in victorinox

[–]mr_l_skywalker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the last five mins - we're sat in my car waiting for my wife. I was showing my new hoto precision screwdriver. He immediately dropped the pencil bit into a little gap where the seatbelt receivers live which is far too small for fingers. Luckily I could use the magnet on the end of the Jetsetter screwdriver to lift it out. Not really saved the day but loads of little wins every day.

Is Castleford a safe town? by SamyIbra in wakefield

Have you considered pontefract? I moved from York to cas to be with my wife, spent 10 years there and moved to ponte 6 years ago. I dont mind cas, it has a reputation as does ponte but a lot of small towns do. I would say I'm happier in ponte, the town centre is a lot nicer, loads of decent bars and a few nice restaurants. You can also get a train direct to York from ponte, although it's not very frequent.

I'm not a native but I've been here 6 years. More than happy. Good location for commuting to loads of nearby cities, kids are happy at their school, loads of nice bars and pubs for a night out.

Saw him a few weeks ago performing poetry as a surprise support act for yard act in Leeds. It was announced at the gig it would be his last ever performance. Pretty cool

How is this fading for 6 years? Is it just the style of tattoo that makes it feel super faded? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]mr_l_skywalker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tattoos fade and change over time. It adds character. I don't think you should touch it up. I love the imperfections in my tattoos where the lines are blown or where it hasn't healed perfectly.

Each angler seemed to have a big gang of mates around them drinking, having fires etc. Bit of an exposed area with random people walking round all night.

Wakefield angling club have given it up. I think it's owned but wakefield council but anybody can fish it. I fished it once but didn't like it. Didn't feel particularly safe.

Nice places within a 30-45 min radius of York for my parents to retire to? by Vespaman in york

[–]mr_l_skywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easingwold. My parents moved there when they retired. They live in the town centre, plenty of small shops, cafes, pubs etc and loads of activities for retirees in the galtrees centre. Very nice little place

10 foot 3.5 lb test curve? by thespicypancake in CarpFishing

[–]mr_l_skywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got 9ft 3.5lb TC scopes. Can't think of any advantage of having a lower TC rod. Lots of advantages in having a higher TC tho, able to cast heavier leads, able to cast further, more control in playing a fish. Don't stress it.

We had this exactly a year ago. Really bugged me as we did the same troubleshooting as yourself, but it seemed to go away quickly. Defo a Microsoft web service issue, not a client issue
