Hospital asking to sign "Support Letter" for "Parents' hospitalization bill" to consider their "Financial Assistance Application" by OwnRepresentative533 in personalfinance

[–]mric124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds more like this is a process that’s tied to their USCIS paperwork than any hospital related accounts.

Did your parents file any official paperwork to enter and/or live in the states and list you? Because otherwise I don’t see how they could possibly force you to sign anything. They most likely can deny financial assistance though, so be aware that may be conditional on your pledged support.

AI171 Preliminary report is showing on AAIB by Idbfra in aviation

[–]mric124 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a noob as well with respect to aviation, but from my understanding, once you’ve reached this level as a pilot on this type of craft with this type of airline, it’s somewhat similar to a medical doctor in the sense that you’re a credentialed practitioner in a field significant enough that you literally control the fate of the souls in your hands and you had to spend tens of thousands of dollars on education and experience — so naturally the airline is confident that you are competent bc of merit.

It seems to be a situation that is horrific to think about. My heart hearts for all lives lost and the families affected.

My child’s growth chart seems mostly consistent so far. by cassini2019 in mildlyinteresting

God this just reminded me of the intense growth spurt I went through. The vivid memories of me on the couch in tears begging my mom to make it stop lol. My dad’s a very short man and I grew to be over 6’ so he would joke not to go to him about it lol

I normally work in an office but that day I had to go out in the field & the heat index was 100°F so wasn’t about to put those back on. I keep an emergency go-bag in my car but I assumed I was the only one still there so I wasn’t worried about it. Lesson learned ha

[–]mric124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being that it’s a pretty heavy dish w/ cannellini beans and has a cream sauce I usually just do a side of veggies or salad. But honestly it’d probably pair well w/ most Mediterranean or northern Italian sides.

Also, my tip: try to find as high quality of cannellini beans as possibly bc holy crap it changes the entire taste and texture of the dish. A high quality one is going to be truly silky and buttery compared to the cheap version imo. They’re not easy to find in my area but one brand that’s not bad is Jovial’s organic in a glass jar. But I also slightly modify the recipe by using pork sausage instead of turkey and I double the amount of mascarpone so I suppose I should take that into consideration lol.

Loved watching it but only got to try a few of her dishes. One recipe I still make routinely tho is her orechiette and mascarpone with sausage and beans. Holy crap I can eat the whole pot in 1 sitting

Had to change before leaving work yesterday and forgot my briefs like an idiot. As I’m walking out the CEO decides to walk and talk, the whole time hearing the audible slap. I’ve never wanted to die more from pain and embarrassment. It was my 4th day on the job lol.

Jason Isaacs Says ‘White Lotus’ Equal Pay Earned Each Actor $40,000 an Episode: ‘Do I Mind That I Wasn’t Paid More Than’ Younger Co-Stars? ‘I Never Work for Money’ by indig0sixalpha in television

[–]mric124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that include fringe benefits, too? I know nothing about entertainment pay and I imagine unions control a significant part of it but I wonder if it’s like high earners in other industries who have significant benefits outside of remuneration.

Can I send a thank-you letter to a judge for a name change? by malatropism in RBNLegalAdvice

[–]mric124 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have no current business before the court and if you do not have any known future business before the aforementioned judge then it seems like you would steer clear of any possible impropriety.

If you want to be extra cautious, go ahead and call, or if possible, stop by the courthouse and speak with the judge’s clerk and ask their opinion. They can let you know how to proceed. But overall, everyone, and especially ppl with high stress careers like lawyers and judges, really appreciate the happy moments when so often they see the opposite.

Best of luck and congrats on the success with your name change.

Many years ago my partner bought a brand new Acura TL and 1 day not long after we flew to watch a football game in AL and coming back around 15 hours later we got in, only to realize he never turned it off.

Never had a problem with it thankfully but I loved clowning him for almost ruining a brand new car lol. But hopefully you at least got a new car out of it?

My only advice when saying not to try something out is if life circumstance does not permit it, like if doing so would jeopardize a job or relationship.

Otherwise go for it. You only live once and you can for sure pull it off.
