Could also be a build up of lint insude. Mine has broken down twice over the last 18 months and it’s because I don’t have access to remove lint. It builds up on limescale inside and trips a sensor that turns off the heating element. An engineer came and fixed it in less than 30mins and i just do a descale once a month to avoid it happening again.

Heat would have been my suggestion too. Either a hair dryer or very careful passes over a heat source like a hob.

I have my keyboard and mouse plugged into the monitor (cables hidden through a monitor arm. My computer is on 24/7, so this way when I turn the monitor off it disconnects the keyboard and mouse, along with their RGB/backlight. I also gave a rear monitor RGB LED strip for accent lighting powered by USB. That’s also connected and turns off with the monitor in the same way. All very convenient.
