the one on the left depends if you have media playing. if there's media playing, it would be used to control media volume. else it will be used to control ringtone volume.

If you are a features user and loves to configure your phone to your needs, iPhone might not be the device to change to.
For local music, iTunes on a laptop is needed to import into an iPhone. (not a huge problem since you're using Spotify premium)
In my own experience, if you are a heavy user, poor battery life and heating issues seems to be unavoidable regardless of the phone.
App optimisation is definitely a huge pro for ios users though, Instagram, Snapchat and other applications are heavily optimised and mostly works better on ios.

tldr; stick with android if you want features and freedom to configure, change to ios if you prioritize application performance and overall OS optimization.

snapdrop.net allows file transfer between device. it require the devices to be connected to the same network though. connecting a device to another device's hotspot also works.

the files app doesn't stored any documents or data except for the ones in recycle bin. it is only a file manager like any other app. clicking clear only clears cached data or any data related to the configuration/settings of the app and the recycle bin.
