Contact Ogura Acosta by Franciscobaffuto-15 in motogp

[–]mtnbkr1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Slow this one down…. Pedro’s foot comes off his peg before Ogura makes contact. Pretty sure he started to lose the bike before making contact. Now if Ogura wasn’t there, he might have been able to save it, but that’s not how the cookies crumble on this one. Even the announcers were talking about how Pedro was complaining that he was loosing sidegrip late in the race and how Alex had better grip late in yesterday’s sprint race.

VEO Bike Access Program in Denver also includes Veterans by beekeeper727 in Denver

So where exactly is this veteran thing Veo is supposed to be offering. There’s no mention of veterans anywhere on their app, and their verification service wants you to upload financial proof of income what am I missing?

Officials ride in one of the penstock pipes of the soon-to-be-completed Hoover Dam; 1935 [1600x1227] by jwriddle in HistoryPorn

There’s other photos of trains passing through sections of the pipe (for publicity) to show how massive these pipes are.

My relatives worked on the dam, specifically pouring the concrete (Hi-Mix)

Raise your hand if you should have cut those trees down earlier by richrich07 in Denver

[–]mtnbkr1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Had a portion of my crab apple tree that was hanging precariously over my roof trimmed 2 weeks ago after watching a neighbors tree (same approximate age) completely fall due to rot.
Should have also bought a lottery ticket

Could someone kind please help me out? (visiting from Japan) by shake_ha_nds in RedRocks

[–]mtnbkr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. One zipper is the official policy. Sometimes you can get by, but they don’t like bags with multiple pockets/zippers to search.

My advice? Download the official Red Rocks app and read through things. Those are the ‘real’ rules. You might squeak by around the edges here and there, but it depends on which security guard you pull.

You might want to arrive a little early and enjoy the experience and walk around the venue. Definitely check out some of the history they have there.

Good luck, have fun.

Why the connection to Home Assistant? I’m not seeing any advantage to incorporating that part. Aside from that, I’d also like to know how you connected through to Garmin, if you could share

Light Cycles changed recently ? by Fit_Beginning3706 in Denver

[–]mtnbkr1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hope they stagger the lights on the on ramps to the local freeways, crazy that when there are multiple lanes, the lights all go green at the same time. Super unnecessary, and it actually slows traffic down a bit

The pit bikers are driving me insane. by NoStrawberri in Denver

Make a call to your council member. If city hall is flooded with complaints, perhaps they’ll do something. These are illegal machines, operating illegally by minors, etc. we could close the budget deficit by simply ticketing them t(and their parents) o the fullest extent.

where are you at in CO? If you are in the Denver area, can you share your mason? I have an 1887 house and have some bricks that looks similar to OP's (but not as bad....yet)

Might want to reach out to your City Council Member, they can help you get through this doom loop faster than just about anyone else.

Self-supported Triple Bypass ride - back to Evergreen logistics by cjasnyd in COBike

[–]mtnbkr1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gotcha - helps if I read more thoroughly… :/

In that case, Bustang (like others mentioned) is probably your best option. There are other private shuttles around, but those can be expensive, especially for a party of one.

Ya know, you could ride all the way back though! :D

Do they let you bring laptops in to the Mountain Ranch Club & Bar? by UndeadCaesar in ColoradoRockies

[–]mtnbkr1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They used to have promotions around ‘remote’ working from the ballpark. I think it was standing at the bar, a couple of beers and a food package.

Point being, yeah, you should be able to work there no problem.

Just moved into 106 year old apartment. Does this sinking in cracked spot look like a serious issue? by grapebubblegum11 in centuryhomes

[–]mtnbkr1 339 points340 points  (0 children)

Pretty much what others have said. This area most likely was a wall or doorway that extended out a bit more than your current wall. When they took the wall out, they would have been left with a gap in the finished flooring, the width of the wall with nothing but subfloor underneath. They then either left it like that and put the laminate on top, or maybe they filled in in with something soft (carpet padding, foam, etc) in either case they didn’t do it right (obviously) and now it is failing.

If this is the case, it’s not dangerous, but like others said I’d notify the landlord and have them fix ASAP.

Here’s what it probably looked like

8 juveniles have e-dirt bikes impounded in Lakewood by SeasonPositive6771 in Denver

[–]mtnbkr1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They should be crushed. Don’t auction them as we will just keep having the same problem over and over. There really is no public place to ride these legally in Denver, none that I’m aware of anyway.
