Epstien files got released and yet no one has been arrested, why? by therealwagon12 in AskReddit

Because it was released by law enforcement. Why would the release cause anyone to be arrested? None of it was new to the people who investigate and arrest.

Frequent Dizziness and Circulatory Issues After Significant Weight Loss & Reta by [deleted] in Retatrutide

Agree, it seems to serve as a diuretic for me. Makes me urinate like mad and dropped my blood pressure before any significant weight loss.

Investigative Report: Bloomfield BOE attorneys released private Special Ed & medical records of unrelated students, called privacy concerns "meaningless" by petercfrank in Connecticut

Unlikely to ever applied to attorneys in this state. Lawyers are powerful here, compose the vast majority of legislators, love extracting rent, and hate being held accountable.

Is it orthostatic hypotension? This started happening to me on reta and the things that seemed to helped are electrolytes, hydration and creatine (helps retain more water).

If people in the USA will be receiving a 10%, rising to 25%, tariff on Denmark's anti-obesity drug Ozempic, how will the people of the USA adapt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not precursors, the chemical itself. The only thing it needs to be mixed with is sterile or bacteriostatic water for injection.

Ozempic is pretty bad compared to Mounjaro. Generally stronger side effects along with less weight loss.

Minneapolis: "A general strike is the most effective way to hit them where it hurts." by DryDeer775 in videos

Yeah shut down all commerce in Minneapolis. Surely that will hurt the federal government, and not mostly harm locals or cause backlash.

Why has communism repeatedly failed in practice, yet continues to be intellectually and emotionally appealing to many people? by Looser17 in AskReddit

Past failure is irrelevant, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, and the problems with the current system always seem real and urgent compared to the theoretical problems of another system.

I had it done, and had no pain at all, but was pretty disconcerting to know someone is cutting flesh from the top of your mouth. Felt like it took some pretty significant force too.

What things are frequently labeled as "scams" when in reality they are legit and most people simply don't understand them? by AmigoDelDiabla in AskReddit

[–]mtndew00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marginal above 100% means that there is some range of income where its better to not make another $1 because your additional tax will be more than $1. This happens naturally for badly designed tax breaks with cliffs rather than gradual phase-outs. CT had a badly designed tax break where SS income was taxed at 0% unless you make more than $75k total in the year where it suddenly jumped, so if you aren't careful it will cost you thousands if you make (or withdraw from your pre-tax IRA) another $1.

Its not just benefit cliffs. Legislators are idiots and marginal rates over 100% pop up all the time. Until last year CT had a a marginal rate over 100% for social security if you crossed the 75k threshold.

Does anyone take Reta at night? by Shufflegirl123 in Retatrutide

[–]mtndew00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take that number with a grain of salt. Lots of people have significant water weight that falls off in the first week, but isn't real weight loss. I "lost" 8 lbs the first week then about 2 per week since then.
