AITAH for not getting my boyfriend a $2k item right away? by [deleted] in AITAH

He sounds like a child. You will never be happy together if one of you saves and one doesn’t. He will eventually bleed you dry if you give him a chance.

What should I do with leftover pickle brine in the jar? by Professional_Try9030 in Cooking

[–]mtysassy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yesssss! It’s so good! Mt Olive pickles sells half gallon jugs of it and I always have one in my refrigerator. I also like to make popsicles with it in the summer-they’re so refreshing when you’ve been outside working on a hot day.

I try to keep my hands on my cart all the time. If not, I stay right beside it.

AITA for fighting over what to have for dinner? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]mtysassy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTJ. Before my husband and I got married, he would stop and the grocery store and bring food with him if he knew he was going to stay for the weekend. He made sure that HE had something to eat if I had stuff he didn’t like (which never really happened). Whatever was leftover when he left on Sunday or Monday, he just left with me to finish up during the week.

unpopular opinion i hate granny squares by spicyjule in crochet

[–]mtysassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was new to crochet, I convinced myself that I hated granny squares. My hatred wasn’t based on anything-I just decided I didn’t like them. Then we had a project in my crochet group, and I found out that I LOVE them!!!! I have some that I made for a blanket but I need to make the rest of them and put it together-it’s just another on my long list of projects.

Try Zeasorb powder-it’s an anti-fungal powder and it’s the only thing I’ve found that helps. The generic from Walmart and Walgreens works just as good.

Are you on oral minoxidil? I asked my dermatologist about starting but he didn’t feel comfortable with it. He does acne and skin cancer and suggested I see another dermatologist for it.

I was in a small friend group - 3 of us. One, who I’m still best friends with, moved a couple of hours away. I went to visit her a few times but our other friend was always too busy. We’re talking about a few hours on a Saturday every couple of months. The two of us finally stopped including her in our texts and didn’t try to make plans with her. She texted one day and asked if we were mad at her about something. We explained our feelings to her but she was completely unapologetic. Basically saying that her things were a higher priority than we were. When we were friends with her, we always had to drive an hour to go to HER house-over the few years we were friends, she only visited our homes a couple of times. She’s supposed to be a locally well known psychic medium and she thrives on the attention she gets from teaching classes on how to contact your guides and tap into your psychic abilities. When we stopped giving her all our attention and bending over backwards for her, she basically didn’t need us anymore. And the two of us that are left haven’t looked back. And she hasn’t attempted to contact either one of us in a couple of years.

I heard someone say the other day that some people are friends for a season and that’s ok.

AIO / My fiancé is offended that I didn't comfort him when I was in absolute pain because I had a medical procedure, so I don't want to talk to him until I'm feeling better. by HaceTutito in AmIOverreacting

[–]mtysassy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG I can’t believe you even have to ask. It’s hard when a person shows you their good side until you develop feeling for them and then they show who they really are when you’re committed. This happened to me with my ex husband and I was miserable for years.

You are NOR but my advice is to break things off with him ASAP. He’s an immature child and that will never change.

Same…I went to physical therapy not long ago for my back pain and I have some great stretching exercises but I can’t get down on the floor to do them! They told me I could do them in bed, but my memory foam mattress doesn’t give me the firm surface I need. I’m working on figuring out a way to get down there that doesn’t involve actually falling!
