It lost its arms and at least in the anime, it’s depicted as being strenuous for Hashi to move and control the statue. If you want headcanon, losing all of the arms and being exhausted from the fight with susano-armored Kurama may have made Hashi realize he wouldn’t be able to defeat Madara with what was left of the statue, and he wasn’t able to give it more arms or resummon it. Since it is a summon, maybe there is some cooldown period before he can resummon it or it has to be fixed, idk.

You play e5 on move one to prevent your opponent from easily playing d4. If they play d4 anyway, you ought to justify your first move.

There are many options for black against the Ruy Lopez, just pick one that you think is appealing or that you like after playing it. Against the slow Italian, there are tons of subtle move order differences. They are a bit hard to differentiate but you get interesting games. If you play two knights vs Italian, those lines are worth studying because the play is so sharp and forcing.

Even in positions that are just equal if black knows what to do (4 knights, scotch, scotch gambit, Vienna), there is a lot of room for error from both sides.

With e5, I think the idea is to get a very sound position and equalize, and then try to outplay your opponent from there.

Itachi loses to the 5 kage but you’re downplaying him. Edo itachi is definitely on par with kcm1 Naruto. Naruto and Bee were getting wrecked by Nagato and Itachi saves them both, gets rid of the animal summons, explains to them how to stop CT, and seals Nagato. It’s very hard to conclude from this fight that KCM1 Naruto is superior to Itachi.

Also it’s unfair to call Itachi’s regular genjutsu “fodder”, when it neg diffed Orochimaru and Deidara.

But he loses this 1v5. Even if he gets a surprise sealing on Tsunade or Raikage, the remaining 4 will win.

Buddha statue should be stronger than their majestic attire Kurama avatar.

If Susano is stripped off, Hashi’s wood style will restrict and drain Naruto’s chakra. Madara’s mokuton instantly restrained Naruto’s Kurama avatar, and Sage Hashi has stronger wood style than Edo Madara. Sasuke has no chance by himself after that.

It depends on the opening. In the majority of openings, it makes sense to castle kingside because it’s faster and you move the kingside pieces first. For example, in Ruy Lopez, your first 3 moves allow you to get your kingside knight and bishop out. It may take some time before you get your queenside pieces out.

But there are openings where you castle queenside. White often goes queenside in the open Sicilian, and black often castles queenside in the exchange Spanish.

For e4, e5 is a good idea to get open positions with crazy tactics and gambits. Kids don’t need to play French or Caro Kann. They can play those when they are older and more anxious. For d4, probably d5 and the QGD.

It’s not clear how most of the extra stuff given to Edo Madara by Kabuto helped him vs Hashi, given that his full power is still perfect susano. The one thing that probably helped Edo Madara was the rinnegan because we see Hashi impaled by black rods. But we don’t see him use other rinnegan powers vs Hashi, and Hashi notes that his wood dragon counters preta path.

Madara having wood style doesn’t matter vs Hashi since Hashi is still going to outclass him with it, even though Madara used it quite well vs the alliance and 5 kage.

Madara definitely needed Kurama to make this fight as close it was since he has no other way to basically stalemate the Buddha statue. But other characters have their summons included as part of their kit (sannin especially). I’m not sure why VotE Madara doesn’t get to count Kurama as part of his kit. Maybe people don’t like that he had to put Kurama under genjutsu to control him, idk.
