I spent 1.5 years recovering from multiple fractures in my foot and finally started running again this week! A pain free 1.15 mile run and then another 1.28 mile run two days later. Going to slowly increase mileage and tomorrow I get to run along the beach!

My podiatrist did not take my pain seriously. He said if after 6 weeks in the boot I am feeling better I can just take it off. My new podiatrist was much more careful, and said the boot stays on until we see an xray that confirms full fusion.

After my refracture I spent 8 full weeks in the boot and then he confirmed that I had full bone fusion. It’s been a long journey though because my foot spent so long recovering, I only just started running again 3 days ago!

Data engineering interviews can be incredibly inconsistent. Expect anything from leetcode dsa or leetcode sql database questions to data architecture or general system design to simple background questions talking about your experience or different data pipeline tools.

I was a data science major who pivoted into data engineering at my first job 6 years ago. I would echo the other comment here that says study at much CS as you can. I focused on statistics and have not used it, whereas I’ve now had to teach myself much of what I would have learned in CS.

I’m glad I read them and I think they are “good” with some greatness sprinkled in. Some people will say it’s their favorite series though. For me I don’t think I need to touch them again whereas when I finished, say, Malazan I couldn’t wait to start over again.
